Topic of the Day:  my sister and I used to watch the original Star Trek series (in reruns) while we were growing up.  We've also (separately) watched all of the subsequnt TV series, and we've probably seen all the movies together.  I am definitely a fan, but not a fanatic.  I've never been to a ComiCon or dressed up as one of the characters, or read any of the books, but I watched all the TV shows.

I liked the reboot movies, but didn't love them.  They're too far removed from Gene Roddenberry's original vision of what the future could be.  They're pretty much just like any other action/adventure movie set in space, just with quasi-familiar characters.  But I'll still go to see them.

However, I am seriously thinking about getting the Star Trek: TOS Bluetooth® Communicator...well, not really seriously, but it would be really cool! ;D

T.O.D.

I saw a few of the original episodes the first time they were rerun.

Is this a new one?  I'd heard about a couple of women who were attacked a couple of days ago.  >:(
