Next year we are traveling from Rome to Lisbon.

Lisbon is one of my favorites. The seafood is exceptional.

Keith has always wanted to go there.  I am currently reading a book that takes place there during the inquisition

That doesn't sound cheery. Unless it's a musical, a la Mel Brooks. And in that case, it would be tasteless.

The script for I Saw the Light is pretty wretched, but I think I'm just getting tired of biopics about entertainers who are too drugged out or drunk to perform or create.

A quick hello and good evening...and good night.  It's been a busy and crazy day, and tomorrow's a busy one as well.

I was thinking this evening that we could stand to hear a peep or two out of vixmom, who has now been in the Sunshine State for two and half days by my count.

More work on taxes today. Ugh! Getting there, though. I'll be very glad when I send everything off to my accountant.

Fred, I agree completely. I spend a lot of time doing tallies, looking up anything I'm unsure of, and so on. Even so, I'm sure I overlook things. I can't imagine rushing through it. I do feel tax law is more complex than it should be, but that's how it is. It's not fair to dump it on your tax preparer at the last minute, and not best for the client, either.

I traveled much of the world on business trips and am now quite happy not to do so. It's exhausting. It was interesting, to be sure, but IF I'm going to travel, I'd rather do it on my terms.

Jane, did you have any trouble finding vegetarian meals? Or did you choose to compromise a bit?

Can't believe John G's trip is over. It seems like it was just a week or two.

I'm pleased you were able to do this. I think you'll rest easier, as will your parents.

Thank you, Jeanne. I think so, too.

Since my shoulder break drying/styling my hair is painful.  I opened up a story on the new Dyson, lighter weight faster drying hairdryer, hoping it would help with my problem.  It might, except the darn thing costs $400.  I think I will continue to suffer ;D

I, too, was interested when I first learned about it last spring. It's only just hit the market, though. In time, the price will drop. Maybe not enough, but it's likely to fall.

Allergies. My right eyeball is itching and working my last nerve.

Have you tried lubricating eye drops? My eyes used to feel sandy (before the surgeries). I didn't realize that's one of the symptoms of dry eyes. Why don't people mention these things?? My favorites are Bausch & Lomb Soothe and Thera Tears, but there are lots of others available. There are also drops specifically for allergies.

Bruce, really sorry to hear about the raw deal LACC gave you. IIRC, they were rather "disorganized" in the past, as well. A bummer, in any case.

TOD:

I've always liked the soundtrack to THE CHORUS. I like the movie, too. It's French, so BK might like it.
