I just received a couple of items from Amazon.co.uk:  the signed CD, Be My Love by Julian Ovendon (I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but so far it's really nice); and the Region B Blu-ray to Florence Foster Jenkins!  It's not available to purchase in the states, yet. :)

And now, I must be off.  I'm going to my sister's for our family's weekly get-together dinner.

Be back later.

I had a bad experience today with T-Mobile. When I called customer service the rep was trying to be helpful, but their system is designed poorly, IMO, and he couldn't fix the problem. I've had T-Mobile for a year now, the call quality isn't as good as AT&T, and I only save about $10/month. I'm reluctant to return to AT&T (overpriced and often poor customer service), though, so I'm checking out some other carriers. Maybe I can find one that's not as bad as the others.

We switched back to T-Mobil from Verizon.  In Ashland Verizon was better.  I would not want to return to AT&T.  Good luck.

We just returned from Beaches, a favorite local restaurant on the river.  I was very bad but it was oh so good.  We haven't been for awhile and I have missed their fries and coleslaw.  For the first time I called yesterday, since it is no longer on the menu, and requested their bean burger.  It was excellent.

For dessert I ordered the bread pudding with blackberries, golden raisins, and a delicious whisky sauce.

To begin with we had edamame and I had a Cadillac margarita, on the rocks without salt.

I wore my tight jeans so I would not overeat.  That was a mistake. ;D

Months ago I saw a light blue plane landing at the airport but we could not determine what airline it was.  FINALLY Keith also saw the plane this evening.  At least we think it was.  We were leaving the parking lot of the restaurant and cars were blocking our path to get a closer view.  If only it had landed while we were still at the table.  We had excellent views from the restaurant.

Since 2 Alaska Airline flights landed about then we believe it was an Alaska Disney plane, which was our best guess back when I saw it.

"Can you recommend a good Jewish deli where i can get one of those big corned beef sandwiches?"

I am sure a few people here and answer this question :)

Often poor customer service? I think you're a master (mistress?) of understatement.

everything but the bean burger sounds wonderful. I mean, I have had good bean burgers before, but the vast majority have been as appetizing as a Boca burger.

Tonight's feature is Androcles and the Lion with a nicely cleaned-up print from Criterion's Eclipse series. Jean Simmons is so beautiful you can see all of the men falling for her.

I did something unusual - a second two-and-a-half mile jog - that's five miles today - pretty good at my age.

But given that, I should probably have a little something else to eat since I only had the chopped Eyetalian salad with vinegar only and a bagel.

This one was very tasty and had nice pieces of corn in it.  It was a bit crumbly though which might be another reason it was good.

They are now saying that three people are dead, one in critical condition, and one with non-life threatening injuries.
