Jane, have you ever been to Dmitriou's Jazz Alley in Seattle?  I'm thinking about going to see Leslie Odom, Jr. next month! :D

I'm not Jane, but I've been there a couple times. Don't recall who I saw. I used to spend quite a bit of time in Seattle on business.

Speaking of toilets, we all know that this election season has been one for the books. One doesn't know whether to dread the news each morning or look forward to some entertainment. I was surprised, however, to learn about the Big Flap over D(ear)C(candidate)T(rump's)D(ear)S(pouse) Melania's wardrobe choices. It seems she attended the last debate wearing a fuchsia-colored "pussy-bow" (I swear I've never heard it called that before) blouse with matching pants. Many in the twitterverse were speculating that she's really a stealth feminist and did it in solidarity with Mrs Clinton, who has become known for her monotone pants suits. Now, really!

Surely that isn't too close to politics for HHW. Commentary on those who are able to read quite a lot into wardrobe choices.

I have never been there.  Our friends, of course, are going to see him in L.A.  Can you still get tickets?

Leslie Odum Jr was at DePauw University for a lecture last month.....all of the students enjoyed meeting and hearing what he had to say....he also sang.  He met and talked with the cast of COMPANY.....seems to be a nice man.

He did not fill the auditorium.......many from the community attended....but the students stayed away in droves.

I am surprised the students weren't there, too bad.  I know his in-law family think he is very nice, and they knew him before he became famous.

Tickets are still available.  It would say if it's sold out.  Burt Bacharach is performing there in March and already ALL FOUR PERFORMANCES are sold out!  And his tickets were $130 each! :o

Just received from Screen Archives:  Ennio Morricone's original motion picture soundtrack to the Italian theatrical version of Space: 1999.  It's very different than the TV soundtrack.  To paraphrase Little Shop of Horrors, it's a strange and interesting score.

According to Wikipedia:
"A pussy bow or pussycat bow is a style of neckwear often associated with women's blouses and bodices. It takes the form of a bow tied at the neck similar to those tied around the neck of kittens, cats, and the like."

Yes! Someone said it was named that because it's like the bow you tie around a kitten's neck. I've had lots of kittens, but never did tie bows on them.

And I just gave you the highlights!

I never tied a bow around a kitten's neck either.

I have been googling for other names of the Gucci bow and have seen it called a bow, bow tie, and tie neck.

One more, a bow tie neck.

I recall when they were the height of business fashion for corporate women. I wore lots of them. But we always just called it a bow.

I wondered if she knew what it was called.  We certainly didn't.  The fact that she is buying Gucci, and was a model, I think she might have.  I rarely read the tag on an outfit to see the description.  The big question is, did Gucci set her up-lol

Yes, but some people take the "no white shoes after Labor Day" thing quite seriously.

Sometimes I think lots and lots of people are REALLY bored.

Right, just a bow.  They seem to be back in style & I only saw them called bows, if anything.

The first time I heard of that, in general and not just clothes, was when in my early 20's working at Union Bank.  One of my co-workers was from Chicago and completely shocked I was wearing white.  Non California natives seemed to care about this while the rest of us laughed.
