AARRGGHH!!  My tablet battery died.  I had a new charging cable hooked up, but it doesn't seem to be able to charge it faster than the power drains. :P

At least I can post from my phone.

But, I need to go to bed, anyway.  But before I do, to answer Tom's question from yesterday, I think it'll open in early December, most likely the 2nd.

I'm SO happy to be awake, after a never-ending dream about the Peter Wilhousky "Battle Hymn of the Republic".

Other stuff was involved, but it's probably just as well I don't remember it.  One thing is trying to come back, though.  I can feel it.

We watched KILLING REAGAN last night.

Was very disappointed.  Thought they left out the most intriguing part of the book.

There was a TV movie many years ago, THE DAY THEY SHOT REAGAN, that was much better.

Somehow or other I got the original LP and reel-to-reel tape, both in pristine condition, of Bernstein Plays Brubeck Plays Bernstein.  It's wonderful.

I was wondering how well done -- or not -- these TV things in the KILLING... series might be.

I know the books are supposed to be pretty good.

So far this morning, I've had to order a new desk lamp for the one that died around 3:00 this morning and make a phone call to Applecare for help with the fallout for updating to Sierra.  I am now MacOS10.12.

I think I have survived whatever bug attacked me on Saturday, to the dismay of my critics, and I need to go to market.  i think it's time to make another vat of chicken pottage.

I have the first part of what is hopefully the finished Act Two, Guys & Dolls, to check out.  At this point, anything will be cosmetic fixes.  I think the wrong notes are all cleared up by this point.

I have to call Joshie today and hear how the band rehearsal for the Irish Red Finian's Rainbow went last night.  I'm sure it sounded beautiful.  When I called yesterday to check on the King & I progress, he was a bit harried.

Lasagna. I make a very good one.

Although it's never considered a pasta dish, my sister-in-law JoAnn's chicken and noodles is really fantastic. I hope she will make it when I am back in Ohio.

This is Indian summer, aka été de la Saint-Martin.
