I was still feeling rather poorly, but my cousin from Scranton was in town (which is not that often), so I took a chance anyway and got out of the house to see the Fiddler revival. Danny Burstein was out today, Adam Grupper was the standby, and my cousin decided not to exchange the tickets because she really wanted to see this revival. I'm a big Bartlett Sher fan, and he has never done wrong with a revival in my estimation, so of course I loved it and wept uncontrollably, except when I was laughing.
Alix Korey was a special hoot as Yente, as expected! I put this up there with the Mary Stout Mother Burnside in MAME, which for me is high praise.
