Oh I go to restaurants all the time by myself but not on Thanksgiving.  I think I'll make some Wacky Noodles with sautéed chicken.

Ahh...yes, that is a different situation.

I will have to go out around ten to Gelson's so I have something to eat on the 'morrow.  Have decided it would be too depressing to go sit in a restaurant all by my lonesome.

I go to restaurants by myself all the time.  I bring my Kindle and read. :)

On Thanksgiving?

No...not with all my family in town.

I remember last year for Thanksgiving, I was in NYC  I had dinner by myself that eve, but then I was going to the evening performance of The Phantom of the Opera - first time seeing it in NYC.  I guess I was too excited to be lonely eating Thanksgiving Dinner alone - which I think was a chicken sandwich.

Wow guys, we've been without barriers all day!!! 2 minor accidents, which Leo was scolded for, and he knew it. I left for a while and when I came home, I was greeted by wagging tails and both dogs jumping on me. No one trying to get to Papa first!!! Leo has finally figured out that it's time to rest and has found the couch. It's not without saying that when I came home from errands, Leo had destroyed a CD, ripped up some music, and had strewn other things around. Which reminds me - I have to order a new LA CD  :-)

I'm now watching last night's episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers."  One guest is Ben Platt, who is starring in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, and they're going to perform a number from the show.

Funny, the other night I listened to a recording of the Korngold violin concerto - I nuked it - just wasn't for me.  Doing the last of the closet and pulling out about twenty more CDs I found the Heifetz version of it and the Rozsa violin concerto - and I'm listening to the same Korngold as the other night but in THIS performance it's a whole other piece of music - I mean entirely wonderful and perfect.  That's the thing about orchestras, recordings, conductors, and soloists.  You can not respond to one at all, while another will suddenly make the music sing and be wonderful.  And the Rozsa concerto (which was the basis for his score to The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes) is one for the ages and let me tell you if you don't have this CD you really need to get it pronto.  The version I have came out in 1988 - wonder if it's had a new mastering since?  Although this sounds amazing - the Korngold in perfect mono and the rest in perfect stereo.  And Heifetz - what a poet.

Page five?  Really?  You'd think it was the night before Thanksgiving or something.

I enjoyed the number from Dear Evan Hansen.  It's not everyone's cuppa, and I certainly didn't think that it's the greatest song ever written, but it was enjoyable.

Each act is forty minutes long.

Ahh...but with some applause and an intermission, it'll stretch out the time.

So, with intermission, it comes out a little over an hour and a half.

The artistic director of the current theater reposted the BW.com article from three years ago as if it were a new article.
