Wednesday morning greetings!  After 2 days of socializing with various ladies' groups, I'm enjoying a puttering day here at home.  I do have to go out to renew my driver's license and do some grocery shopping, but I don't have to get dressed up and eat a catered meal.

The omens are not good today.  Buses are not running as quickly as usual, I got to therapy - which is closed tomorrow and Friday so it's overbooked and packed - waited 35 minutes past my appointment time, then told the staff i'd see them on Monday and left.

This morning I went back to the Amahl and the Night Visitors that so failed to charm me last night.  It still doesn't charm me, but it ain't that bad.  It just doesn't have the magic of the NBC productions.  And I have to say it's a bit disconcerting to hear a little Amahl with such a strong British accent.  :)

Besides, how many recordings of it are there, anyway?  It can stay.

First thing this morning I read my delightful birthday greeting from Bruce, who I have known since I was fifteen.  Thank you Bruce, who for one day is the same age I am ;)

It's 25°F in Olympia right now. :o

It was rather dreary here this morning and I couldn't see the river.  It has brightened up some now and warmed up to 29°F.

Have you known DR Jane since she as 15 or 16? (You give both ages in today's notes) :-)

Thank you DR elmore.  I see I have an e-card to open from you as well.  I will do so as soon as I leave here.  Thanks for that card too.  I am sorry PT was a waste of your time today.

I have to take the car to the car place this afternoon because it seems time to replace the starter and/or its wires.  These are not expensive items, except for the ridiculous labor charges for however long the book says it takes.

One of the reasons I was willing to sell my old car before we moved here was that the labor cost to replace a 10 cent item was over a $1,000.  I couldn't have the oil dripping here.
