This afternoon I saw "The Secret Garden" at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.  It was great.  Josh Young and Michael Xavier were wonderful as the Craven brothers.  And youngest ever female Tony winner Daisy Eagan played Martha, the housemaid, and was terrific.

That sounds like fun.

Diana Montague, the British mexxo-soprano whp plays Aunt Minnie on my recording of Roberta, is in Manhattan rehearsing for the Metropolitan Opera production of Romeo et Juliette.  I hoping she can go with me tomorrow night to see the Town Hall concert of Bright Star.

I read that was being streamed on TheaterMania.com. I may try to catch some of that.

I went out this afternoon in search of chocolate Santas. No chocolate Santas to be found. The nearby Ralph's supermarket has had them in the past at Christmas, but not this year. The employee I asked said that the store manager must be a real grinch!

I found Hershey's Santas at two different dollar stores with packages of six for $1. Not a bad deal for stocking stuffers.

It feel nice to me though. It warmed up to 60 this evening. I like it.

Really enjoyed the party tonight. But it's been a really busy weekend, so I didn't have the energy to dance as much as I would have liked.

The couple have added a ballroom to their house and they had a two-person band that was really good. They played everything from "I Will Survive" to Bonnie Raitt to Elvis. Fun.

Watching the start of Cry of the City with Victor Mature and Richard Conte. Interesting noir.

There are a few seats available next Friday and Saturday night, but basically we are sold out for the rest of the run.

They are still taking names for a standby list at every performance, and so far, all of the people on the lists has gotten into the performance.

The problem is the season ticket holders who for one reason or another, don't show up for the show.  The seats would go empty if we didn't have the standby list.

It means the performance begins about 8 to 10 minutes late, but it is a short show anyway.
