DR John we decided to eat at a Mexican restaurant on the River Walk that looked fairly good. Unfortunately it was closed and every place was packed, except for where we ate. There was a reason we got into Cafe Ole rIght away

I think the best gift I got was the time to enjoy time spent with friends. Each night over the past week brought something new a wonderful with a great many people, including the evening with Jane and Keith.

We skyped for about an hour and a half with the Vixter and her Charles this morning

I seasoned the standing rib roast

Made the cauliflower casserole, and put the turnips and peas in (separate) corningware

I tossed the potatoes with a little garlic and kosher salt and put them in the roasting pan and essentially used them as the meat rack as I set the roast on top of the layer of pirates and cooked them together

When it was time for the roast to rest I added some beef broth to the potatoes they came out pretty well ( if I do say so myself)

My mom had invited a friend of hers to dinner

Upon arriving and coughing over all of us, she announced that she has been deathly ill all week and managed to give whatever form of plague she was carrying to the elderly coupl e that she works for an aide
