Funny how things work. I have been putting off for weeks doing some research that has to be done for the new book. And even though I had fun writing a couple of paragraphs for it, I haven't had the buzz about actually beginning it next Sunday - that's happened before and the minute I start I get the buzz right away. But yesterday something came into my head, a title really, a title I came up with about fifteen years ago and that David Wechter and I tried to come up with a film for - we did - pitched - came close - but no cigar. Listening to a composer I don't know at all - Samuel Jones - I don't think I ever played this CD and wonder why I got it, unless it was recommended to me. It's a symphonic piece based on James Agee/Walker Evans' Let Us Now Praise Famous Men - it's tonal and very nice music. I took a long shower and thought of some more ideas, which I've already jotted down.

I have this in my wishlist at Amazon.co.uk. It's interesting...Amazon.com lists the US release, and it says that it's 177 minutes. Then, they list the region-2 UK release, but it's 180 minutes. And they also have the region-4 Australian release, and that says it's 214 minutes! I wonder what the differences are.
