DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE
« on: December 30, 2016, 12:09:44 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes did not rain on my or anyone else's parade except maybe the irritators, and now it is time for you to post until the parading cows come home.

So, I got myself over that head cold in two (count 'em) days last week.  Right?

Now I've got a bit of congestion and a deep voice.  Oy!

I'm listening to the Weather Channel, and boy, we were so lucky yesterday being just south of the path of the snowstorms.  Most of New England got slammed.  People not that far north of here have a couple of feet of snow.  We got a dusting for an hour, then rain the rest of the day.  Very very lucky.

Every action has a reaction.  Yesterday was a good day, and today is a downer.  I'm relatively healthy, better off financially than I've been for the past three years, but I'm very depressed today.  At 7:00 this morning, I cancelled therapy and stayed in bed.  I finally forced myself to get up and dress just after 9:00.

Now that I'm up and moving, I'll tidy up the clutter, vacuum my work table, ponder the things I need to accomplish by Jan. 1, and get on with things.

Friday morning greetings!  We've been out for my post-op appointment with the eye doctor, who is quite pleased with my progress.  I'm very glad not to look like the Phantom of the Opera any more.

Listening to Mahler's 10th. Really lovely piece of music.

As far as I can tell from the television promos, HIDDEN FIGURES is the true story about how the Mercury Project, including the first US man in space John Glenn, was really accomplished by three sassy mamas who did all the work while everyone else at NASA stood around and wrung his hands......
