I pureed some turkey soup. It tastes good but looks awfully unappetizing. I also cooked a couple of apples into applesauce. The yogurt is in the oven to do its thing, whatever its thing is.

If I am ever in the hospital on a restrictive diet I want you to cook for me.

Just heard from my friend, Bob. He's got to take 23 pills a day because of his Parkinson's. Apparently the side effects are making him tired, but he's working himself in a state. And his wife may be leaving him -- more likely over the work, not the disease.

I hope Bob and his wife can sort out their problems.

I have a fear of my life depending on swallowing pills.  I am better at it, however, I need most pills to come in capsules.

I seem to be jumping all over the place, but has anybody ever heard of Montgomery Pie. It's apparently a Pennsylvania Dutch treat.

Having lived in Bucks County, PA I have had many Pennsylvania Dutch treats I purchased at a local flea market.  Shoo Fly pie came to mind.  It is very rich and I would buy one little piece at a time.  I looked up Montgomery pie and believe I have tried it.  It is also made with mollasses.  I recall finding it rather bland.

Another treat was sweet potato pie, or what I preferred the sweet potato loaf bread.

Took a hot shower - came up with one great thing that will work wonderfully - just a short thing - I went back and set it up, then at the end of this chapter it will be discussed.  I broke up the chapter I was in because it was already going on twenty-eight pages and if I hadn't broken it up it could have ended up at forty pages - so I'm on chapter four.  This book will not have a huge number of chapters - I'm feeling maybe ten right now.

Listening to some Wagner.  I'm shamefully ignorant of Wagner, and while I don't want to really delve into the operas, the instrumental interludes are incredible.  I got a box set of stereo Stokowski CDs (from 1954 to 1975) - and the instrumental Wagner excerpts are kind of stunning.

I was pleased to see TCB's post last night that his eye is more comfortable now. the procedure sounded awful! Tom, was it worse that the cataract surgery?

I was pretty much out of it during the cataract surgery, so I don't really remember it.  This procedure was done with me sitting in my chair.  Of course, my eye was numbed, so it didn't hurt.  There was very minimal discomfort the first afternoon and evening.

Also, the first couple post-op eye drops were a bit uncomfortable for a few seconds.  I suppose that is jus a part of the healing.

Certainly nothing about the procedure has made me apprehensive about the next eye.

Performance vibes for DR GEORGE.

Thanks, Jrand!  We had a really good show tonight (mostly...I did goober one of my lines a bit, but not horribly) and a great audience!  They loved it.  It wasn't filled, but pretty full.  It was a great last performance.

I enjoyed the BRIGHT LIGHTS documentary.....but circumstances made it difficult to watch.....

Tonight when I go to bed, I'm going to set my DVD burner to record it from my DVR, and make a DVD for a couple of friends, but I'll watch the hi-def broadcast on my DVR later.

I'm sure that no one in the audience knew that you goobered the line.

So, here are Kathy and I this afternoon at Langan's.  I've known her since 1973 or so.  She looks so much like her mother.

Great photo, Larry.
