I'm up, I'm up - should have gotten eight hours of sleep but probably got seven thanks to those damn crickets - LOUD.  I finally ended up shutting the two hall doors and that did the trick since they were near the front door.

Hello, everybody.

My name's Ron.

I've been sick lately.  And it hasn't gone away, yet.

Hoarse today, I am.  And a bit sniffly.

I have been worried about you so please pop in everyday so I know you are ok.

BE WELL VIBES!!!

I think these fit.

Pachelbel: Canon in D
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons

Keith's favorite would be Dvořák's New World Symphony

I'm not sure about this one....
Rossini: William Tell Overture

Does anyone plan to read In the Great Green Room about the woman who wrote Goodnight, Moon?

Vibes for Ron. Don't like all these folks with lingering maladies.

My mom has updated me that folks in SC are coughing and hacking and feeling poorly, too.

A co-worker has been sick since Dec. 11th.  She's ambulatory and at work, but she's hoarse and has similar highs and lows like I do.

Futzed and finessed quite a bit, then wrote two new pages.  Now I shall be on my way to the Bank of Bur for a lunch meeting, after which I'll hopefully pick up some packages, then come home.

Friend just brought over the P/C and keyboard books for The Little Mermaid.  I'm playing the main book in one of the local school orchestras this spring and I'm looking for two other people for the others.

And I am home from City Center and the jeweler's.  Joshie thinks we are ready for Thursday's orchestra reading, and I have "I Happen To Like New York," one of my avorite songs, to orchestrate.

My two watches are running smoothly and one has as well a new watchband.

Just had a delicious snack:  a huge slice of wonderful (and authentic) key lime pie, piled high with whipped cream (which I far prefer to meringue on my key lime pie), and a K-cup of "Emeril's Big Easy Bold".

Managed to get to Marge's and back without killing myself or anyone else.  Richard and I are both going to tonight's AAUW meeting, so I'm going to rest my eyes for a while.

Topic of the Day:  The Duruflé Requiem, mostly because I just listened to it. ;)

Otherwise, I don't know a lot about classical music, especially instrumentals.  I've listened to some, and enjoyed some, but don't really "know" enough of them to have a favorite.

Ravel's Bolero.  I do love that one.  And Pachelbel's Canon, and the Winter section from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.

I'm listening to a new to me Sandy Wilson score called His Monkey Wife. Good score, but strange story.

I agree...very strange story. ;)

I was able to get a ticket for Finian's Rainbow, which had been sold out, with the help of Melissa Errico, the star of the show.  I'm her Facebook friend (apparently she'll let anyone be her friend!) and she had offered to help anyone who messaged her.  She said she thinks the weather was on my side, and sure enough there was a cancellation. Maybe I could have gotten the ticket if I had just called the box office at the right time, but Melissa asked the ticket guy to hold the ticket until I called with my credit card info.  So nice of her !

That's great, Kevin!  Glad you enjoyed it.  I love this score.  I've never seen the stage show, but I have several recordings and have enjoyed them all.

I haven't heard of this.  I ran sound for a stage musical version of the book.  It was absolutely delightful.  I think I'll look into this, too.

Back from a wonderful lunch meeting - very productive and great conversation and some interesting factoids to put in the book.  Went to Tony's Bella Vista and they were kind enough to make me the spaghetti carbonara, which was great.

If you read it please let us know what you think.  It will be awhile before I read it since my library doesn't have it.

I've done about nine pages so far - only two to go and I'll try to do those in the early evening.  I need a break right now after writing seven pages in a row.
