Ad I am home from City Center.  I assembled all the full scores for me and Joshie (one set) and a set for the copyist.

I must admit I am going into tomorrow's orchestra reading of the scores so far with the same enthusiasm and trepidation I do on every project: I'll be fired before the day is over. I felt the same way at Liz Callaway's first recording session with BK in 1994.  Some neuroses never change.

I am hoping to get out for a short walk once they plow.  We have to wait until they do the hospitals first.

I'm not getting a good connection to buy a ticke. Vixmom, it says grand tier is sold out.

I saw two seats in the Grand Tier on the far sides.  the Mezzanine has plenty of good seats.

Thanks, Larry!  I got one and I'll be there.

Well, this is exciting!  And thank you, all, for the ego boost tomorrow.  I always go through stage fright before the first whatever: will it sound as I imagined? Did I paint myself into a corner? Will the folk who hired me feel secure about what I've done? Can I repair any messes I've made before they sack me? If I can't look brilliant, can I at least come off as competent or adequate?

I am having a problem with my network connection. I'll get a ticket. I tried to get one near you, Vixmom and the network went out.

The wind is blowing. That may be the problem

reminds me of that song Doris Day sings in "Please Don't Eat the Daisies":

"Any way the wind blows, any way the wind blows..."

A polar bear and a few other residents at the Oregon Zoo are enjoying the snow.

Had a very slow start to the day, due to a visit from Jason Graae, who picked up some CDs.  I hadn't seen him in a while so we talked for about thirty minutes.  Then I did a little futzing and finessing - about half, then I went and had a bacon cheeseburger and no fries or onion rings, then picked up a tiny package and came home.

I futzed and finessed the rest, adding two new pages as I did so, so I've written two new pages and will try to write an additional five right now, after which I'll take a break.
