And I am home from the reading.  Everyone seemed pleased.  I have some things to redo and/or reconsider, but I wasn't fired, and I actually liked a few things I had written.

Of course you weren't fired. But I'm really pleased to read that you liked some of your work. I have to have a great distance before I can do that.

I will be pleased if I like at least 50-60% of what I've written by the time we open.  I hope I do better than that, but there's much work to be done before the Feb, 23 band rehearsal. I'm not sure what number I'm getting next.  That's for Rob to decide.

Hats off to your success DR ELMORE.

Thank you, one and all!  I'm not sure I'd call it a success, but it went well.  I liked several things enormously, know which ones need some work, and I'm focusing on those situations.

DR Jane if you don't have snow boots then what do you wear all winter?  As soon as it starts to snow here in December I move to winter boots until at least March/April.

It sounds daunting, DR Elmore.  I am in awe of anyone who can pull this off.  I love orchestration, but I couldn't put two notes together.

This is the first time we have needed them since moving here.  I am hoping we can get out and walk tomorrow, if we want to.  The temperatures are dropping.  Keith dropped me off at the clubhouse and went to his gym.  I used the treadmill, weights, and the bike.  It felt really good to move.  I carefully walked home using the road inside the complex (no one drives fast, not that a car passed me) and it was fine.

Keith put a photo of our sunset on facebook.  One of these days I will learn how to size my photos to fit here.

Jane, if you upload your pictures to Photobucket, they should automatically resize so that you don't have to. :)

DR Jennifer, I usually wear tennis shoes for my long walks and even hikes.  If I really have to I wear hiking boots but the ones I have now are a low cut.

So you just wear regular shoes all winter?  That seems crazy to me. You live in a winter climate. What happened to the boots that you had last year?

Wow here we wear snow boots all winter regardless of whether it is warm or cold.  It has been in the high 30s and rainy. But that makes it icy in places. I would never wear any type of shoes outside now.  Good luck.

I don't think they ever close schools here due to weather.

I never needed any last year.  I had them the year before in Ashland but they were slippery so I just wore my regular, ankle, waterproof hiking boots.  I have some old Mephesto regular shoes, also waterproof, I wear when we go out and I don't want to wear tennis shoes.

I stopped trekking through the fields and if the road was bad I put plastic bags on my feet before putting the shoes on and then pants over them to keep the snow out.  My traction and balance were better.

I know it seems strange but it is very difficult for me to find comfortable shoes.  I didn't want to spend the money on ill fitting boots again, especially when I could usually do without them.

I don't think they ever close schools here due to weather.

In the two years we lived in Massachusetts it took a mega storm for them to close school.  When we moved away I was shocked to find school closed for less snow, and the children did not wear snow clothes to school.

I've written ten-and-a-half pages, another half page to go.  I could have done that as I'm in a section wherein I know what's going on, but I wanted to save it for post shower later tonight in case I get any good ideas and get inspired, in which case I could maybe write an extra page or two and be ahead for tomorrow, which would be nice as I'm going to lose most of the morning and the early afternoon doing the LACC video.  Tonight doesn't feel like a movie night so I'll probably make it a movie night.  I think I'll go out and get some cashews or some such food.
