I also had the triple AAA come out because it's been sounding like my battery's going bad - slow to turn over in the mornings. But he checked it, the alternator and the starter and all show as in perfect working order, so maybe it's just the cold weather.
Did I post a week or two ago about having accidentally (i.e., carelessly) leaving a door ajar and running my battery down? We have a battery charger here that works beautifully, and after a couple of hours all was well. And it's been well ever since.
Until today.
This afternoon I went out to start on my errands, and -- no battery. Put the charging unit to it again, and all is well again. For now. But I hadn't driven the car for two days, and even though nothing was left turned on, AND we aren't in arctic weather, I'm taking this as a sign that it's time for a new battery. I'll check my records, but I think it's been a good several years ago that I got this one. And several years, say, five to seven, is a good life span.
