Jeanne - so sorry to hear about that terrible car situation yesterday.

Too bad it's so hard to appeal in that situation.

TOD thoughts:

For various reason, my favorite pop music while growing up - in terms of albums I actually bought - were the Partridge Family and the Osmonds.   I didn't catch on to disco music until college.

So it makes sense that BK was a big celebrity in our home, even more so by the time of the NYC premiere of his film!

Bought a lot of pop singles and show albums, especially at E.J. Korvettes which was near us.  Not all that many pop music albums, though.

Last week I told Wae-Ling that I had a surprise for her next Saturday (today). She is going with Sandra to see the tour of "Matilda." When I saw the clip on the Tony Awards, I was underwhelmed. Has anyone else seen it?

I am still upset at DR JEANNE's story about her car.  Why do they make such simple things so difficult for people?   $$$$ is almost always the answer, I guess.

This morning, around 11, my Guys & Dolls colleague Jason is coming by to discuss this new scores and to pick up what I hand him.  Around 12:30, I will board a bus for City Center an the matinee of Big River.  I will watch some more of War and Peace tonight, but I'm really looking forward to Alec Baldwin's turn as Der Führer President Trump.  I wonder if/when we'll see Rosie O'Donnell as Steve Bannon or Christine Ebersole as Betsy Devos.

And bring back Laura Benanti!

DR Jeanne, you had what I would call a miserable car day.  I am so sorry.

DR TCB, couldn't you call your dentist for the referral?  I hope this is all resolved very quickly.

DR vixmom, this implant doctor did not bother to match the color of the new teeth with your own before beginning them? Most unseemly.

I have way too much to do today, so I feel already that, because I slept for eight hours, that I'll never catch up.

We fortunately didn't get the couple of inches of snow that those damned forecasters were threatening us with.

But we did get a dusting, which I must soon go out and dust off.

TOD:
I LOVED the theme from "Mahogony" - definitely one of my favorites. I was a big Dianna Ross fan and loved "Touch Me in the Morning" too. I also remember loving the song "One Tin Soldier" from around that time.

When I was very young, my favorite music was The Partridge Family and The Jackson 5.

As I grew older my favorites were: Elton John (especially "Someone Saved My Life Tonight"), Supertramp, Doobie Brothers, Crosby Stills and Nash, Bread, John Denver, Billy Joel...and many others that are probably more in the category of rock than pop.
I liked a group called Yaz, which was very techno.
I was a very big fan of art rock, which was Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Yes.

We had one of the Buena Vista albums, and the whole inner sleeve had ads for albums like ITALIANNETTE and HAWAIIANNETTE.  Strange that i can't recall which album it was though, but I remember the inner sleeve hawking all those Annette albums.

It was a mistake at the lab.  The previous ones were the right color but the wrong shape, these were exactly the right shape but too light

It seems very unfair but I can't imagine winning the fight, at least regarding the ticket.  Once towed and paid for, forget it.

We are the ones who had to pay for two parking tickets in L.A., two tickets in different locations with almost identical date and time stamps.  It didn't matter that it was impossible to be in two places at the same time.
