Monday morning greetings!  Spring arrived here with thunder, lightning, and rain that soaked our newspaper.  I'm going out to do some pre-travel errands and meet Becky for lunch.

Travel vibes to HHW-ers who are about to travel!

Thanks, DR FJL!  We have an early flight out of Dayton Wednesday morning.  We'll have to get up about 4am, so the first thing we may do in New York is take a nap!

One of my favorite films of Buster Keaton's I saw as a child was a short film he made for The National Film Board of Canada called THE RAILRODDER. A 24 minute film as he rides across Canada on a mini train (best i can call it)

Incidentally, are you aware that THE GENERAL was based on an actual incident during the Civil War?

In the 1950s, Disney made a dramatic film based on the incident.  It was called THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE, and it starred Fess Parker and Jeffrey Hunter.

And this is a documentary about the making of the film and a documentary about Buster Keaton himself and how he worked

My choices for Vocal Director are somewhere who is very good, but who cannot be there a lot OR someone who is good and can be there - but who I don't like much.......

My problem with someone who can't be there, is that I get in the middle of blocking a song or choreography - and some dumb ass can't remember what he is supposed to sing or TWO people think two different things about what is supposed to be sung......I am not savvy enough about music to know who might be right....and if the Vocal Director isn't there....the train grounds to a stop.....

I think you know the choice that you have to make...as difficult as it is.  I've been in shows with both those scenarios, and as much as I don't like working with people I don't like (which, fortunately, has been rare) it's so much better to have someone there at all times, especially if they know what they're doing. :-\

It's audition season for sure, DR Jrand66.

I've got three excruciating sessions coming up for one group, and it looks like a day in NYC for another.

And because I apparently have nothing better to do with my time today,
here's some photographic evidence I like to call "Winter Storm Stella: ONE WEEK LATER!" for your viewing enjoyment.

The sun cleared the driving surfaces within a day or two, but the temperatures have kept most of the other white stuff around.

That's all for today.....but I'm here all week!

I would like the snow to be gone when I arrive. I don't think that's possible.

Got lots of errands done and made it home before the arrival of more thunderstorms.  Must be spring!

It is, indeed, Spring.  Gray overcast day here in Oakland with showers.

Going to hospital pharmacy at 3 p.m. to renew a prescription.

Should be able to do it online, but am not able.  No one can figure out why or offer an explanation to same.

No one is interested in looking into it, either.

Oh, well.
