I am pondering the DVD ponderables.

I've just finished writing seven-hundred and three pages.  What a BURST.

Has anyone picked up Gunga Din on DVD yet.  It was supposed to be out on December 7th.  They haven't gotten in yet at Amoeba.  I'm curious to know what, if any, extras are on it.

Ordinarily, I'd wait for bk to prompt us for the birthday wishes, but not wanting to be the last one invited to the party, let me add my own personal best wishes for DR Tomovoz on his natal anniversary!

No GUNGA DIN here yet, DRCP.  And no, I don't think those artists are around anymore.  Now and then you see them at fairs or swap meets doing sillhouettes or line portraits....but

Vibeage for DRPANNI's continued productivity.  And for DRJOSE's father.

Pumpkin pie and whipped cream tonight.  Delicious as usual!

As I said, the official birthday bash will be in tomorrow's notes, as that's when the birthday officially shows up on the board.

I'm back from picking up my xmas cards, which I didn't pick up on account of they won't be ready until tomorrow morning.

Therefore, I'm eating Swedish What is it Fish and writing another ten thousand pages.

DR CP - the extras listed on the GUNGA DIN DVD include a commentary by Rudy Behlmer, a making-of documentary, Looney Toons cartoon "The Film Fan"  and trailers.

My vote for the DVD distribution is the Electronic Hat.

Christmas Foods -

Yesterday, we had the first ever annual family cookie baking day.  I named it the Iron Spatula event.  We had several representatives from different countries.  We even had an opening ceremony and distributed baking hats and mom got to wear one of EL Eric's chef jackets (he's a pastry chef, you know).  We had Iron Spatula chef's from Italy, Little Italy, Germany, Sweden, Japan and Germany.  Being a mostly Italian family, it was funny that the only person who decided on an Italian cookie was EL Eric, and his was the best.  We baked 'till the cows came home - chocolate crinkles, Brown-sugar choco chip, two different types of toll house, sugar cookies, zoletti's (EL Erics), thumb print with Apricot jam, and rice crispy treats with holiday sprinkles.  When we had finished our frenzie, we had a lovely dinner of lasagna, salad and bread and for dessert, we had hot cocoa with homemade marshmellows (yes EL Eric made them!!)  What a day!  I never want to see another cookie for a while.

One of the reasons we did this, and this brings me to the TOD, is that for years my Nonni and my Aunt used to make dozens of different types of cookies at the holiday time.  And that really meant that Christmas was here.  In the past few years, as old age began to take over, there had been less and less cookies made.  So this year, we decided to start a tradition to keep up the old tradition.  Good Times all around.

Wow - GUNGA DIN is backordered or out of stock at nearly every online service.  Even Amazon.com gives a warning that it might not be available for a couple of weeks.  Sales rank at AC - 549!

Or did you just finish writing "seven-hundred and three pages?"  I can do that! (an A Chorus Line reference ::))

And then I shall write another seven hundred and three pages.
"Another seven hundred and three pages."

"Another ten thousand pages."  Wow!  Writing a book is easy! ;D ;)

Panni, I know these vibes are really late, but I was busy taking a really nasty test. But I'm sure you'll be able to use them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Whoever invented essay tests really needs to be shot.

Vibes for Jose's dad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm glad he's doing better and can get back to his karaoke machine. Does he take requests? If so, my dad would like for him to do "King of the Road."
