I had some egg salad earlier, but bk's bagel and lox are nearly making me hungry again.

Panni has become a whirling dervish of domesticity!

I'm just in LA for the day - then I'm driving down on Monday, arriving Wednesday for about 10 days before i head back to NYC - of course I'll call you, BK. I plan to partake of your pecan pie on Xmas Eve!

So, in the last few hours we'd slipped to just over six figures again in the amazon sales rank, just over 100,000.  Still very good.  In the last half-hour, however, we have achieved our best ranking yet, and I am horn-swoggled.  See it while you can:

Thank you DR Francois. At least someone is reading my posts.

Has anyone heard from DRMS lately?  ;)

Sure is quiet around here without DR Know-ELL

No more action on the WB site, which is fine, because I'm about to run out of books and won't be able to get any until just after the first of the year.  Amazingly, I have gone through ninety of the hundred I got.

Do I remember correctly - didn't Jose send me yummilicious chocolate chip cookies last year at this time?  And, if so, just where in tarnation is THIS year's batch?

Well... If I can work out the logistics, I shall be baking large batches of my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies, and some the Best Peanut Butter Cookies you've ever had!... On Monday...

Well, I want to get to bed at a semi-decent hour tonight...  I have two shows tomorrow, and I really do want to make it over to the hospital in the morning to visit my father.

*Listening to "Sondheim at the Movies" right now...  Can you believe I've never listened to this disc before tonight either?!?!?!  Whaddup widdat??!?!

Goodnight.

The dough is now ready. (At least 2 hours in the fridge, according to DR Jane.) I have to decide whether to bake the cookies tonight or in the morning. I'll probably do it in the very early morning. (6-ish). That way the place will smell of cookies all day. A nice smell.

In my frenzy of domesticity, I decided to take the grill off the bottom of the fridge and clean it. What I found behind there would be about 5 years worth of dust clinging to some kind of air exchange or whatever the term is for what is down there. It's amazing that the fridge was still working efficiently. I've cleaned it the best I can, but may I say YUCK.

No posts in an hour! Skammen!
Well, my inner Betty Furness couldn't wait and I'm baking the cookies. We'll see how my vintage tempermental oven does with them. They're in the shape of dreidels, the ever popular Star of David, Menorahs, of course, and a few Maccabees who look suspiciously like gingerbread men with yarmulkes. I checked on them just now and one has lost a leg, another his head. War is hell.

And to prove that I too can be a Domestic Goddess, here are my Hanukah cookies. You'll notice a couple of the Maccabees (Herschel and Sean) were injured by the flames. My pesky vintage oven is too vintage for its own good and gets a tad hotter in certain areas than others. So while the cookies in the front are pale and raw, the guys in the back are yellling for the fire department.

Glad there's someone here, because our amazon sales rank has just, rather shockingly, improved again and we have again achieved a new best:
