Not exactly what I would call a great day with Linda's surgery. Then I learned that someone who has been taking dance lessons almost as long as I have, Charlie, is in stage four of pancreatic cancer. It apparently has spread to his lungs and elsewhere. It's rather hard to take in.

Charlie's a doctor. He's about my age. It doesn't make sense.

Ok, I'll tell. I went to the local Renaissance Festival a month or so back. While I was there I met some guys who told me they are members of the Knights Templar. They were telling me about the things they do for charity--like visiting kids in the hospital with gifts at Christmas.

I said it sounded interesting so I friended the lead guy on Facebook. We chatted a couple times and he asked if I would like to come to one of their meetings/events so I said yes.

Anyway they are having a ceremony where one of them is going up in rank and I was invited to attend this Saturday.

I was told there are not many ladies in the group so they're looking for some to join.
I figure it's worth a look/see. I need to find some kind of group. I think I sit home alone
too much.

I think it's kinda cool.

Oh and I was thinking about how you asked about my poor SUV, Bonnie that was smashed by the tree. I don't know if you knew about the Ford Escape I bought to replace her.

She is silver so I named her "Belle".

I used to cry so hard for Bonnie. I really loved her but Belle is winning me over. Being smaller she is much easier to park and I LOVE the back up camera. Don't know how I lived without one before.

I put all of my music on a USB stick so I don't need the radio unless I want it.

I also love that my i-phone is synced with her so I can talk on the phone while driving without touching the phone. I can make a call just by telling her to "Call Thelma" for example.

Pretty neat stuff.
