I keep forgetting that DR JOHN G has been mentioning MARJORIE MORNINGSTAR.

I like the book very much, and the movie is okay.  The music is very nice and Natalie Wood is beautiful....Gene Kelly's egotistical loser seems very life like.

I like everyone - except  Ed Wynn - but he's just doing his regular schtick.

SPOILER ALERT DR JOHN G!!!!!



And of course, Natalie ends up with Martin Milner which disappointed me when I watched the movie when I was a kid....but now it doesn't seem so bad.

Had a weird full color, soundtracked dream last night.  Something to do with a desert place--maybe "Dune".  I seem to dream of deserts a lot-I honestly don't know why. 

I swear I can taste the sand and feel the hot sun overhead when I'm there.  Past life, maybe??  Who knows.

Herman Wouk is one of my favorite authors, yet I was not overly enraptured with MARJORIE MORNINGSTAR.  Maybe I should re-read this one.
