Finally, the two cars ahead of me get their food, I move up to the window, pay my money, and wait!  Wait?  Again?

So, I drive-up, place my order, move up behind the next car in line, and wait!  Wait?  For fast food?

Interesting.  There isn't a Panda Express around here that has a drive-up.  They're all only sit-down places.

The girl says, "We are waiting on the Fried Rice.  I don't know!  I can't ask my boss cause he is mad at me, and if I go over and ask they get mad at me."

And the bottom line:  I get home, eat my dinner, and guess what.  The worst Fried Rice ever!

Weird.  Soundgarden is performing on the SNL rerun.

That's too bad.  Whenever I've had their fried rice, it's usually been pretty good...or at least good enough for me. ;)

I like it, too.  But this had no flavor.

Has anyone been watching HOME FIRES on PBS? (I always think "HOME FRIES.") Season 2 was quite good, I thought, but ended quite abruptly. I read that they'd planned to do another season, but that was cancelled. The writer is now working on a series of novels to cover the ground that would have been S3. Can't recall the exact title, but it's very close to HOME FIRES. I wish S3 hadn't been cancelled.

We love the show.  I am sorry to hear it ends abruptly.

We have been very busy catching up with old friends, eating too much, and spending too much time in the car.

Today was a day.  I first went to my sister's house and helped my niece move some cut tree trunks and branches from their back yard into a gully in an empty lot two lots up from their house.  That took about a half hour.  My sister then had to get ready for her PFLAG board meeting.

There wasn't anything else for me to do, so I went home and took a short nap before I had to work concessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  They were having the Mrs. Washington America competition.  20 married women from all across the state came to compete.  I only watched the first half, which included the introducing of the women and the swimsuit/health and fitness competition.  Then came the intermission, and I left after we cleaned up and put everything away.

I then went to Happy Teriyaki for dinner.  I had their Love Salad.  After that, I came home and set up my DVD burner to burn the Streisand/Kristofferson version of "A Star is Born" that I had recorded on TCM not too long ago.  I'm now watching some other shows recorded on my other DVR.

I was able to do my work at the soup kitchen, set up the altar at church and do my banking and grocery errands  albeit somewhat gingerly and slowly

That's great, Vixmom!  Somewhat gingerly and slowly is better than not able to at all!
