Garrison Keillor's show was one for the ages. He was supposed to perform for 90 minutes, then do a meet-and-greet. Instead, he was on for 2.5 hours and despite being 74, he didn't seem tired. He gave what he called a standing intermission. He made everyone stand up and led a song-along. It was supposed to be for 10 minutes, while those who needed to could go to the restroom, but it lasted a half hour because he fell in love with the acoustics of the place. We sang everything from Battle Hymn of the Republic to How Great Thou Art to Silent Night to Red River Valley.
Apparently his grandson died this week. I think the performance was therapy for him.
