I just watched the first episode of a British series called QUIRKE. It was quite good. It's an adaptation of the Benjamin Black novel, CHRISTINE FALLS.

There's also an apple gate commercial that just ran where a half naked ( but well built ) man dressed as a cow with a German accent and lovely blue eyes is standing behind the deli counter  and having a nonconversation with a shopper ,  then he flexes his pecs

Garrison Keillor's show was one for the ages. He was supposed to perform for 90 minutes, then do a meet-and-greet. Instead, he was on for 2.5 hours and despite being 74, he didn't seem tired. He gave what he called a standing intermission. He made everyone stand up and led a song-along. It was supposed to be for 10 minutes, while those who needed to could go to the restroom,but it lasted a half hour because he fell in love with the acoustics of the place. We sang everything from Battle Hymn of the Republic to How Great Thou Art to Silent Night to Red River Valley.
 
Apparently his grandson died this week. I think the performance was therapy for him.

I would have loved to see that show.  The closest I have come I seeing him on the subway once, he got on as I got off and it want until after the doors closed and I turned around to,look I realized who it was

Sounds almost exactly what he did here in Olympia...and his "intermission" was about a half hour, also.
