DR TCB, I looked up Tacoma Park and found Takoma Park in Maryland. It seems to be a nice neighborhood. DR Kevin are you familiar with it?

I said it was Takoma Park, but when you say it out loud, Takoma = Tacoma.

I think they may set attendance records this weekend.

It was 83 degrees today, but we are heading up into the 90's (maybe) for the next two days.

Back from an interesting rehearsal.  Notes took a while and we didn't get started till an hour in, so we only did acts one and two - it was better tonight and we had some semblance of stage lighting, which was great.  The set is looking really good.  But I was unhappy with two staging bits - one for technical reasons (the murder) and then the end of act two, which I'd blocked poorly.  We fixed that first and then I attended to the murder.  Due to the mechanical gag and how it works with the trench coat I had to simply rethink the way the victim was falling and I ended up doing what the movie did, having him fall on his back - so much more effective and I'm having the actor pause a bit as if the scissors is going in further as he hits the floor.  Creepy and so much better than what we had.

When I went to pick up the money till and my tablet after tonight's performance of 5 Lesbians..., they said that again, only two or three seats were empty!  It looks like we have another hit!  Hoo and Ray!!

Uh, oh, it looks like I forgot to log out when I left for McCormick Place at 8am CDT - sorry!  Learned a lot about genealogy research today and had a lovely lunch all compliments of ProQuest.

My bus ride back, compliments of Gale/Cengage, was not so satisfactory because the driver made the first stop at the Hilton, then went directly back to the convention center.  There were 8 or 10 of us headed for the Palmer House, which the driver skipped because he said, "They rerouted me."  We could have gotten off at the Hilton and walked, if he'd told us.  Instead we spent an hour and 15 minutes on a trip that should have taken 30 minutes tops.  Color me p$&@#d.

That's terrible, Ginny!  Hopefully, the rest of your time there is much better!

Where is everyone tonight?

Well, I went to my parents' for our weekly family dinner get-together and Phase 10 playing, then I put gas in my car, then I went downtown and parked until 5 Lesbians was over and finished a book my Kindle (Discovery, the first book in The Socket Greeny Saga), then I picked up the aforementioned till and tablet, and then I came home. :D
