Susan Hayward was wonderful.

She was, and so was Thelma Ritter!  Both were Oscar-nominated (Actress/Supporting Actress).

Ditto for more treatment vibes from me, as well.

I haven't received a castrecl for the past two days. Has been slow going? Or am I missing anything?

They were all probably marching yesterday.  I don't think there's been anything interesting on the List in ages.

I'm up, I'm up - eleven hours of sleep.  Groggy and congested, of course, but boy did I need to sleep.

To my TOD list I will add a couple already mentioned:

With a Song In My Heart - particularly for Hayward and Ritter and the voice of Jane Froman

Love Me or Leave Me - Doris Day!!!!

But I have to take points away for that television movie based on Rosemary Clooney's book that starred Clint Eastwood's girlfriend....it was an insult to everyone involved.

There was also a television movie about the McGuire Sisters....it was even worse.....they always had the sisters dressed in identical outfits, and one of their trademarks was that each sister's dress was slightly different than the others'.....

Hmmmm.....now I can only find photos of them dressed in identical dresses.....maybe I dreamed it.....but those girls could SANG!

It's interesting that Doris, the McGuires, and Rosemary and Betty Clooney were all students of Grace Raine in Cincinnati.......

The Clooneys came from just across the river.  Almost.  Don't know about the others.

My dad and I drove over there a few years back.  Very pleasant drive.  Maysville, KY.

Under the worst category I would place most of Night and Day because, with the exception of Mary Martin, the music had no impact. Deep in My Heart was rather overstuffed and underwhelming.

Busy day today. Mondays are always busy.

This afternoon I returned the foam samples to Norm's Foam. Believe me, after using them all weekend for lumbar support I did NOT want to give them up! After further discussion I returned home with a small--12" x 16"--foam pillow designed to fit into a boudoir pillow case AND a larger--16" x 16"--egg crate pillow, backed with a denser foam. I will order decorative pillow covers from The Company Store so that the pillows will match the sofa. Very affordable. I have a couple other foam projects in mind, but first I'll see how Pillow #1 and Pillow #2 work out.

I'm also doing saliva collection today for a medical test. Nine samples taken at specified hours. It's almost as complicated as the eye drops schedule for cataract surgery. One more collection today and I'll be done.

Re: THE ROMAN SPRING OF MRS STONE,
It was the Vivien Leigh original. I didn't know there was a remake.

I found it a bit long, but I know that today's audiences are used to more action and a faster pace. I kept thinking that Mrs Stone should move to another part of Italy, where people are more genuine. I also felt that she needed to find a cause, something she believed in. If I had millions I'd be doing all sorts of things.
