Sunday afternoon greetings!  I went to church today with Fr. Richard, who quoted me, of all people, in his sermon:  "Somebody has to be Martha!"  Now all the parishioners there think my name is, um, Martha...

Will i understand this when I catch up on the posts?

LOL, no, DR FJL!  You'd have to read Luke 10:38-42, in which Mary worships at Jesus' feet while Martha grudgingly performs all the hospitality tasks.  The quote was my response to Richard one hectic Christmas season when he accused me of being more Martha than Mary regarding the season.

Daughter texted me that she's enjoying the play and that the theater is almost full - amazing for a first weekend.  If it keeps doing that kind of business, I'm sure they'll extend it by two weeks.

Still watching THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER!!!

While I enjoy Bette Davis's performance I am not a fan of Monty Woolley in this role.

The Darling Daughter's going to see the play today - not sure I'll sit through it but I'll meet her after and we'll eat.  Unless I just decide to see it.

This is nice :)

Hmm, has anyone done a "Martha, did you know?" parody song to the tune of "Mary, did you know?" yet?

:)

Thanks for explaining, Ginny.

Martha did you know
That you won't be blessed if all your work is grudging
Martha did you know
That you'll never rest if you need too much nudging?

Back from a lovely early dinner with the Darling Daughter - she loved the play.  And while I was told there were sixty people there, it sure looked to me like about seventy-five.
