I went to market to take advantage of the Old Coot discount on Tuesdays.  The larder is stocked, and I must get to work.  I'm not sure which number is on today's agenda, perhaps "This Is How you Serve The Tea."

Another NYMF day.  I hoe my super will carry my new printer up for me when it arrives.  I have music to print.

Unless it fits in the mailbox I expect deliveries to be delivered at the front door.  If the super can't help, ask the neighbor who reported the elevator causing the shutdown to help.

On my way to the stairs in my return from market, I ran into one of the nice Japanese couple on the 4th floor.  I told ho, about my emails and he said that he would also send an email.  I may have to organize this building into a tenants' strike.

Dad was supposed to have an EEG this morning but he was bleeding so much internally, from an ulcer and other conditions, that they couldn't do it.

Plus, my sister says his dementia is worsening, all in the past week.

The mac-n-cheese I had at The Federal about a year ago was very gourmet mac-n-cheese with bits of bacon in it. And everything is better with bacon. The dish was extremely rich and made me feel like I had eaten enough grams of fat to last me a week, but it was delicious.

TOD:

My first was my mother's macaroni (and cheese) ade from scratch.  Boiled noodles, then a mixture of eggs, milk and cheese are stirred into the noodles (maybe butter, too).  Then it's baked.

It's yummilicious and the best I've ever had.

A close second was a macaroni and cheese made with smoked gouda cheese.  Oh my!  It was tasty beyond belief!!!

I hit the Criterion sale at lunch. Shopping can be distracting. Came away with my beloved Fanny trilogy, some Pasolini, Bunuel and Tree of the Wooden Clogs.

TOD2:

Truffle Mac and cheese with truffle oil mixed with fontina in the dish and a topping of breadcrumbs with Parmesan may be the most decadent version I've ever had a hand in making.

Up in the Northeast, lobster Mac and cheese may be the most comforting.
