Not looking forward to the 16-hour drive with the bird, but JB likes the folks.

Great news, Jane.

Thanks.  Hopefully I won't have to return in a few months, before my 6 month re-check, for those spots we are watching.

At least there is an award at the end of the trip for JB.  I must have missed the part about your return visit.  Is this just a regular visit to check up on things or will you be getting their place ready to sell?

Druxy - have I mentioned:  our very own BK played "Grig" in the 2006 New York Musical Festival (NYMF) presentation.

Unfortunately, I've never seen the musical.  Nor, do I believe, have I ever heard the score.

I did, however, visit the set when they were filming the movie.  Had the pleasure of meeting Robert Preston, who was impressed with the fact that I knew about his flop musical, WE TAKE THE TOWN.

A very quick hello from Cincinnati!

Good to be here.  Haven't read anything yet -- have to run right back out, will read and ketchup later.

TOD - salmon, trout, haddock, tuna, shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops, clams (fried only).  Just don't serve me a fish that still has its eyes and no oysters, please.

Topic of the Day:

McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, or "fish and chips" at most places.  That's pretty much it.

Finished a documentary - annoying, fascinating, weird and yet enjoyable.  Now watching a pretty bad movie that must have seemed cutting edge back in 1998.  It isn't now.

It looks like the production of "The Last Starfighter" musical at the Second Story Repertory in Redmond, Washington is indeed on, and will be near the end of their 2017-2018 seson, which should place it around mid-June 2018.

Congrats to Fred and Skip!

Druxy - Assuming BK doesn't mind my giving away the CD, I could email you the tracks if you want.  (if you PM me your email address)

All the liner notes, etc, are on the site of the cast recording's label - Kritzerland, of course!

I only had 7 spots sprayed off of me at the dermatologist.  I have 2 spots we are watching carefully.  I am happy to say I didn't have any biopsies this time.

Good news!

TOD:
I didn't grow up as a fish eater. Meat and potatoes. I started eating fish when I began doing a lot of business travel. Many of the small towns offered next to nothing in the way of vegetarian meals, so I knew I needed to learn to eat fish. Then, in San Diego, there was a strip mall next to the office building where I worked, and it had at least five restaurants, many quite good. There was a mom-and-pop fish restaurant called Catch of the Day, which was outstanding, and I soon became a regular. I used to joke that I kept my job at Computer Sciences Corp because of Catch of the Day. It was largely true.

Sadly, the owner divorced and Catch of the Day closed.

These days I like salmon very much, as well as sole and sea bass. I don't cook fish at home, though. It really needs to be fresh--caught, purchased, and cooked promptly. I prefer to go out for it.

I like fish and chips, but long for the day when restaurants convert to air fryers.

John O'Groats, where Rebozo's used to be and BK and I ate once, serves good fish and chips.

There used to be a little restaurant on King St in Alexandria, VA, that was an authentic (for VA) Irish fish & chips place. Can't recall the name of it, but DR Kevin might. I used to go there a lot.
