I just remembered we did Turn of the Screw, too.  I have almost no memories of that one except for playing celesta from backstage.  Wait, am I right about that?  Must be...

There's a big piano part as well, DR ChasSmith.  Did you play both piano and celesta? You shoulda been in the pit with the other players.

This is so weird, how I don't remember.  Maybe someone else played it.  Damn weird.

Britten's version of The Beggar's Opera is still my favorite version of this difficult comedy.  I was very proud of my 1979 production, assisted by our DR Ginny.

Here are two production shots.

Those look great!

Damn it to hell, I'll have to see if I have that Screw program to solve this mystery.  But I don't think I saw it last time I went through that stuff.

Diana Montague, my Aunt Minnie on the Roberta recording, is the housekeeper Mrs Grose in this production of The Turn of the Screw.

I just realized: we have two recently empty apartments, one was rented by an elderly man now in a nursing home and one by a young lady who moved elsewhere.  The landlord cannot rent these apartments while the elevator is not working.

T.O.D.

I'm not really a "pack rat," though I am careful of the things I dispose of.  More than once, I've found I'd gotten rid of something only to have to replace it later.

We watched THE BURGLAR with Dan Duryea and Jayne Mansfield last night.  I'd never seen it before.

It was okay; not great.  It had some interesting aspects to it, but the film was over-scored to the point where you had trouble hearing the dialogue, and one of the secondary actors thought he was performing in a theater.

It was one of those scripts that I would have loved to have gotten my hands on before filming.  The story needed focus.

I prefer not to think of myself as a pack rat. I merely tell myself, I am not a minimalist.

I am still searching for the car title and to find it, I've cleaned out the bottom of my closet, which is sort of a storage/dumping area. I'm set to get rid of more than half of what was down there. I need a paper shredder first.

The incident with the sound equipment that MR BK writes about in the notes makes my blood BOIL......

At one time we were doing VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM in the basement level theatre and were having a very successful run.  Upstairs in the main theatre, they were rehearsing that hideous gay play that included a lot of Maria Callas music.....The Lisbon Traviata.....

Of course that idiot director thought his production was MUCH MORE important than ours.  He kept taking the tape deck from the booth downstairs so he could play his stupid music during rehearsal.  He would also rehearse the noisiest scenes he could during our show....

For one of our performances, he hadn't even returned the tape deck.

I still hate him for the things he did and said.....I hope he is dead.

I think the physical therapy has helped. The exercises are certainly effective. But there's still pain in the hip.

I am somewhat of a pack rat.  As DR DRUXY wrote.....I am certain when I throw something away...finally....I will need it.  It has happened more than once.

I do plan a complete cleaning this fall when my room is repainted - we shall see.

Damn it to hell, I'll have to see if I have that Screw program to solve this mystery.  But I don't think I saw it last time I went through that stuff.

The sad verdict is in:  that program is long gone.
