I just found out yesterday that a check that a patron wrote to see TAO's 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche a couple of weeks ago has bounced! >:( So, we lost the original $30 amount for the two tickets, plus a $10 fee AND another $5 fee!  WHF??

If her name and address are on the check I would send her a letter saying that you were sure it was an unfortunate error, and advising her that the theatre incurred $15 fees because I her error and request that she send a new check for $45   Or if you take credit cards have her call you either cc #. Surely she is aware her check bounced

That's what I was thinking.  Yesterday, I got a full front and back copy of the check from the bank, so now I have her information.  I also want to ask the bank why there was a $10 fee AND another $5 fee.  Why do they have to kick us when we're down??

And on that note (C#), I'm off to my sister's.  I am needed to (help?) put reassemble their entertainment cabinet, now that they've moved.  Fortunately, it won't be too difficult.

Be back later, and have a good day, all!

If you cannot get the money, take the check writer to small claims court and add any bank fees.

Probably because they can. Banks make a lot of their revenue from fees these days.

I enjoyed yesterday's pack rat "confessions."

I threw out a bunch of stuff this morning and you can't even tell! Didn't even make a dent!

My guideline: if I'm going to keep it I have to be able to find it when I need it. Otherwise, what's the point?

Debating whether to go out to eat or not. I'd like something other than what's here, but it's hot out and I may just stay in the AC.

I returned to A PLACE TO CALL HOME last night. If Regina gets what she deserves, I MUST see it. I figured all the lies, scheming, and malice might make Washington politics look tame. Or not. The scene between Elizabeth Bligh and Doris Collins was GREAT diplomacy.

But as long as you have a general idea of which pile which types of things are in, doesn't needing three or four things justify everything you've kept/

I've needed things, knew for certain that I'd kept it, and while I couldn't get my hands on it right away, I'd be thrilled that i hadn't thrown it out when I'd find it after only an hour or two looking, but in the right piles o' stuff.)

I think it was Ginny who asked...we went to Book of Mormon...generally at Christmas Vuxdad gets me a ticket to a shower two.  Since  he's not a big fan and sInce prices have skyrocketed he gets me single tickets and I usually try to meet up with a friend or two or three before or after the show.   He bought me a ticke fir BoM and has been lamenting every time he sees the commercial on TV  that he didn't join me

When I discovered that there were front row enter mezzanine seats (his location of choice) available for the matinee on  his actual birthday a few  months ago I snatched them up and I have been keeping it a deep dark secret ever since

I have a question about Book of Mormon.  Is it completely inappropriate for kids (aged 12 and 14?).  I know that it is raunchy. And I could not believe that my mom said that her friend's daughter is taking her 12 and 14 year olds to the show.

I would not recommend this show for anyone under 16

I agree.   I think I mentioned when I saw the show there were two young children (I think one was no more than 7 and the other 9 at the most) next to me (by themselves)!  We all won the lottery.  I remember when the family won the lottery and how excited they were (the parents were there for the lottery).  The usher remembered seeing them before!

You were charged a fee for the bounced check, not the person who wrote it?!?

I had plans, once I finished the drum part, t recopy an earlier chart and its reprise for easier reading for the drummer.  Well, thirty minutes ago they dropped a new cue in my lap. Damn.

Tomorrow morning I'll write the new drum parts.
