Out of curiosity, I was searching the inner webs for my 5th grade teacher...the first MALE teacher I had.

We had heard that he was MEAN....so we were scared when we found out we were in his class. He turned out to be a GREAT teacher....his class was fun....and he was very fair to ALL of us in every thing.

He brought his record player to class and played records for us. I was in his class when the Russians sent a man into a space, and we talked about that a lot.

He taught us all to sing "Heart of My Heart" which we sang a couple of times a week. I still remember it.

It seems he died in 1991 at the age of 64. I'm sorry I was never able to tell him what an influence he had on my life - in a GOOD way.

It is nice to have such good memories of your teacher. I tried unsuccessfully to locate my 1st grade teacher for years and finally gave it up as a lost cause

I just finished No. 9, and I have six numbers to go. I should finish up on Friday or Saturday. I am beginning to like what I've done - I couldn't see the trees for the forest for a while - and I'm looking forward to Monday's rehearsal.

In Italy the best four cheese pizza we had would have been great except one of those cheese was a strong blue cheese
