Well we've cancelled out trip to Florida,  since vixdad has to take his vacation , not allowed to reschedule we are now going to Pennsylvania. 

They're central enough that they're not being evacuated.  Stocking up on essentials so they can ride out the storm.  I wish I would be there to ride it out with them...

DR vixmom, how are The Vixter and BF dealng with Irma?

I just spoke to my Mom and Dad's home helper.  She was in the process of picking up a walker and other stuff they'll need in the shelter (which is in the high school in their area). 

My Mom and Dad are in the shelter already, and the wonderful helper said she'll check on them tomorrow morning.  Luckily, she lives not that far away from Mom and Dad.

We're relieved they decided to go to the shelter rather than just relying on boarding up their windows.  Their community is inland enough so that they said it was never labeled "mandatory evacuation."

Another show option is Legrand, but we just did Mancini so it's too soon for that.  Elmore is the out of town version of Street easy to get?  Do you have a program of what you did?  I only know the Day After Spring song that Brent did on our Lerner CD.

BK - could it be time to survey sci-fi and thrillers again.  (wonderful material in Brain From Planet X, of course, as well as Skip's Herringbone, Time and Again, but also many other sci-fi and thriller musicals)

Pennsylvania is beautiful.  We lived there for 5 1/2 years.  Where in the state are you going?

I am not much of a trendsetter when it comes to food.  I do not like kale and I don't even know what quinoa is.

I am not even sure that George shouldn't be burned at the stake for putting cashews on pizza.

I have never even heard of cashews as an option for pizza.

Well, I'm off.  Tonight, one of the actresses in Silent Sky is having a birthday and the stage manager is bringing a cake!  Can't miss that.  Of course, we also have a show tonight, so there's that.

I thought about a "scary" horror/thriller/sci-fi show for October.  But what would it include besides The Brain/Last Starfighter?  I guess it could include Starmites (and maybe Sharon McNight could reprise her starring role), Sweeney Todd, I guess, Carrie - what else?  Then I could make the Loewe show November.

Is there a Dracula musical - I'm not misremembering am I?  And Dance of the Vampires?  What else?  Was there a Frankenstein musical?
