BTW, the earthquake we had a couple nights ago wasn't teeny tiny here at all. First, I heard the windows rattling. Then EVERYTHING started shaking. One report from a meteorologist said a 3.6 quake would produce the sort of rattling of a truck passing by. Nope. Not this one. This one got your attention. I didn't take cover, but I was thinking I'd have to when it suddenly quit.

Had two little cupcakes as a treat. The cheesecake place near the mail place (mini cheesecake things) literally closed up shop without any prior warning. It sat empty for three weeks and has just reopened as a mini cupcake place - the irony being that it was originally a cupcake place but when cupcakes gave way to whatever else came in they went out of business. So full circle. I had a little red velvet cupcake thing and a carrot cake cupcake thing, both very tasty and pretty small.

Back from our one and only preview. It's always kind of interesting around here, where seniors are the freely admitted preview audiences, to observe how various things play. I Do! I Do!, as I expected, was a clear winner. One can only hope tomorrow night's official opening is as well received.

I always have to laugh when someone says in response to me being the tiniest bit critical of a transfer, "It looked fine on my (insert brand name here)" - you know what, fine doesn't quite do it and the film being discussed should and could look so much better. It looks "fine" on my TV, too - not great, not as it should, but it suffices.

Have everything ready for the announcement. I loved Doug's cover for the Rachmaninov (instantly one of my favorite Kritzerland covers) but his cover for the new release is stunning. He gave me six choices and there was no question which the winner was and he agreed. We put my second choice on the back of the booklet so it can be flipped.
