Had breakfast around 8:30 a.m. Then went out and rented local storage space for my "goods" which must be re-stored until/if I can get my mom's stuff organized and disposed of (she has a lot of stuff she doesn't need).

We then went to the grocery store and the post office and then back to the grocery store where she last had her sunglasses. Happily, she found them in the cart she used and put away in the parking lot.

Sigh.

We will be going out for lunch.

By now, everyone in Johnston knows my business. Every time she's on the phone, my mom is telling her friends when my goods will arrive, how many storage units I had in California, what I plan on doing with my stuff and what I've done with the stuff I had mailed and she had reported on every time a piece arrived at the post office.

Small towns.

Pest control is arriving tomorrow at 3 p.m. for its quarterly treatment of our house and my Aunt Doris' house (across the street). Apparently, we're going to have to vacuum and sweep everything so the pest control man won't see anything amiss, despite my disarray.
