Well, today there have been more battles about the cleaning than there were yesterday. ::) And we're not done yet.  I MUST have my way when union things are legally required to be kept!  But it's still going.  It won't all be finished today, but at least a really big chunk was gotten through.  We figure just another one or two sessions after today and my house will be done.

I never, ever let anyone "organize" things for me. What makes sense to them doesn't make sense to me. And I NEVER let them throw anything out!

I'm glad your house is getting cleaned and organized and hope you'll find easy ways to keep it that way. And that you can find what you need.

Auction is taking a break.  I do have to have a little thirty-minute meeting here at around five - don't want to but I'm told it's necessary.  Someone I know somehow managed to get me booked at some Barnes and Noble to do a signing.

Larry, so sorry to hear about your fall. Three or four years ago a similar thing happened to me. I was getting up from the sofa when my left leg simply wouldn't hold me and down I went. As if that wasn't bad enough a couple days later I fell again on the stairs next to the driveway. I was laid up for two months as a result.

I've found that what seem like balance issues can actually be the result of weak back muscles. Maybe it's time for PT again. Or a different approach.

VIBES YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!

While weak muscles can cause these problems, my guess is that this incident was due to low blood pressure and/or low sugar sine DR elmore had been bending over prior to standing up.

Congrats to MR BK on the auction win!

Notes were excellent today.  I am not a member of COSTCO, but perhaps I should join and see what it's all about.

Jack, do you know anyone nearby who shops at Costco? Members can bring in a nonmember. You could get the Costco Experience before shelling out the $55 for the membership.

I was going to suggest the same thing.  If your are not a member you might be required to pay with cash.  I suggest asking first.

I'm pretty sure that you can get a one-time pass.  Just go to the Membership counter and ask about it...or maybe their website has info: www.costco.com

True, but it is better to go with a friend who can help you NOT buy too much.  One must shop wisely when overwhelmed at the prices and sizes of everything ;)

Apropos to the conversation today, Keith just asked me to get something for him.  He had forgotten that he moved it last month ;D.  It has been found.

Not to worry, DR FJL, just coffee for now.  Adult beverages shall be consumed at a more respectable hour.  :)

Well, where's the fun in that??

;)

What exactly is a respectable hour? (Said in one's best Maggie Smith voice.)

Watching The Hero with Sam Elliott. It's wonderful.

I even enjoyed seeing Katharine Ross in a good scene between the two of them.

We watched that the other night.  Liked it very much.

Elliott should go after an Oscar nomination on this one.

Long overdue. I really hope he gets the nomination.

Thanks, Jeanne.  I'm not holding my breath about me being able to keep it that way, though. ::) My history has shown that it (the messiness) repeats itself...all too often.  But we'll see.  Maybe it won't this time, at least maybe not for a longer time that before.

Yup, that's a good reason to let a friend take you. :D

Good evening. This afternoon we saw a local production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." I'm glad I saw it, but I don't need to see it again.

Went to Gelson's briefly to buy cream of mushroom soup for tomorrow's Wacky Noodles and I was right - that healthy choice is some other BS - and terrible.

Thanks to all Dear Readers for the suggestions....there is NOT a Costco close enough that I could use it for gasoline....but my brother - or one of them - may be a member....I shall ask.

As a state employee, back in the day, I was automatically a member ot Sam's Club....so I went there now and then....

Auction is over - two-and-a-half hours earlier than yesterday - I suspect someone had a little chat with the auctioneer.
