I've removed the Cat Guy from my list of searches.  I must say in his defense that his email was not as curt as I made it sound, but I think he's a rather possessive - as well as obsessive - cat rescuer who may see all the kittens he's rescuing as his personal property to dispense as he sees fit.

I am more pissed that he did not look at my application until Archie was adopted;  I really wanted that baby.

Rescue people are known to be like this.  I am sorry you didn't get Archie but it is good he was adopted since you wouldn't have been able to have him anyway :(

Because he wouldn't let me?

I shall have to think about the TOD.

THE CRUCIBLE arrived in my mailbox today.

That was quick!  Can't wait for my copy!

Christmas came early to West 82nd Street as well!

What exactly is Cindy Edna, DR George?

Cinder Edna is a children's illustrated storybook by Ellen Jackson and illustrated by Kevin O'Malley.  It's about Cinderella's next door neighbor who also has an evil stepmother and stepsisters, but instead of wallowing in self-pity and essentially learned helplessness (my description), Edna makes the best of all situations and gets things done on her own. :D

Five years ago, Ted Ryle and a couple of other people got the rights and adapted the children's book into an original stage musical.  Ted's wife is the artistic director and co-founder of Olympia Family Theater.  I ran the sound for that original OFT production.  For the most part, it's a delightfully delightful show.  They're bringing it back in the spring and they had auditions over the last couple of weekends because the music director will be in Hawaii for five months, and they wanted to get the cast set before she left.  I don't know why that mattered...assuming that she'll be back before rehearsals start.  But, that doesn't matter to me.  I was cast in the show and that's all that I care about. ;D

Yes.

Well, a kitten as cute as Archie or Petunia should never have a problem getting adopted.

DR Laura, I was recommended to this video about socializing feral cats, and I about passed out.  Mike Phillips, who's handling them, was my choreographer for the 1991 Houston Grand Opera version of Babes In Toyland!

I did a lot of that, Elmore, back in the day. We did it a little differently.

Joshie was by himself in a cage, and I brought him out to be fed on my lap. One day I put the dish on my lap, and he came out and climbed in my lap to be fed. It is the only way they get to eat. It sounds mean, but, hey, he turned out to be a wonderful cat who lived with me for 15 years. He was a little bit older than most of the ones we worked with, and he growled at everyone at adoptions so he was sent home in disgrace. He wanted me.

8-month old Sir Rivington is Caleb's rival for my affections.  I am thinking seriously about submitting an application for him tonight.  All they can do is turn me down.

Yes there's only one Sir Rivington!  Here's his adoption description:
The belly up photo says it all. Sir Rivington, or Riv for short, is a super chill 8-month-old kitty that loves belly rubs and affection. He is wonderfully friendly, outgoing, and well socialized, and his charisma wins over everyone he meets. It doesn't hurt that he's both adorable AND handsome, that winning combination we all strive for but few of us attain gracefully. Riv is a wonderful boy that is good with other animals and would make a super fantastic pet for a very lucky family.

I do believe you’re right.  I think each photo picked his features up a little differently.

The other kitty, Caleb, is a spitting image of our Mikey — less about a decade and a zillion pounds!
