I didn't get Annabelle at the shelter.  I got her in a K9Kastle adoption event.

Here's the reason I am dubious about the shelter.

Last night on the euthanasia list for today was 5-month old Lulu.  The reason was that she'd been there for a week, developed a URI, and her time to be kept was over unless someone rescued her at noon today.

For the past week, she's been on their list of pets for adoption with nothing but praise for her behavior and sociability.

Another cat on the euthanasia list for today, but also on the pets for adoption page,  is FELV and FIV positive, yet the adoption post doesn't mention that.  I honestly do not trust the MACC much.  Still, if nothing esle comes through, I may head over to 110th Street to look at little 9-month old Caleb.

I don't think they have any intention of selling this house, but unless they get lucky and get someone very stupid to rent, they're gonna have to do a LOT to get this rentable.  Had they listened to me all the problems would have been fixed when they came up but they didn't.  The interior will be spotless when I move, that much I've assured them, and the sprinklers all work perfectly.

Yes, but I'm still waiting to hear about my bid for Sir Rivington.  I know that the rescue group has contacted Rob Berman as one of my references.  I feel that I'm window shopping at the moment and that's fine.

As I posted before, I know there will be kittens and young cats through the early December, so I can keep looking if I need to.  The kitten I wanted more than anything was little Archie, and I feel the same about Sir Rivington.

I like the description that goes with Sir Rivington, that he is good with other cats.  It is something to look for if you can.

I haven't officially lost Sir Rivington yet, so every other cat I'm looking at - the only other one I bid on was cute little Juniper - is just wishing till I either adopt Rivington or lose him.
