I am dreading tomorrow.

In the morning, I am taking Nicky to his doctor's appointment.

That means fighting to get him in his carrier.

But once inside the carrier is when the real fun begins.

I wish Keith enjoyed baseball and we were watching the game tonight.  Even better I wish we were at the game.

[TCB]

He howls, he cries, and he screams - nonstop.

[TCB]

From the apartment to the car, and for the entire ride to the doctor.

[TCB]

And he repeats the tantrum for the entire trip home.

[TCB]

It is just lucky that my hair is already gray.

[Jane]

I emailed Craig figuring he is still up.  He is listening to the game on the radio.  Poor guy gets up very early in the morning.

[George]

I swear, you can't get a good apple fritter anymore.  I've tried one from each of two different supermarket bakeries, and there's almost no hint of apple in them.  The dough and the glaze are perfectly yummy, but they're shorting us on a very important ingredient, damn their eyes.

I know!  I've banana fritters from three, count 'em, THREE different donut shops in two different states (WA and OR), and NONE of them tasted like banana at all.  What's that all about??

[Jane]

I don't think I have seen banana fritters, but then I wouldn't really want one.

[George]

DR George,  I also enjoyed reading about your fun evening.

DR TCB, I, too, am not a fan of FALSETTOS, which I call AIDS FOR DUMMIES.  It's all too smug, too cute, and far too simplistic.  To me, "something bad is happening, something really bad is happening" is a kick in the face to the hundreds of AIDs victims I had as friends and colleagues. 

I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer an AIDS piece to be angry and honest, not cutesie-poo and gemütlich.

Larry, what do think of The Normal Heart?  I first heard of it from the Broadway Benefit Reading CD.

I have some work at my desk, so once I clean the litter box, vacuum, and mop the floor, I will attend to that.  I also need to being my review of The Crucible, which I listened to yesterday, and which I'll play again this afternoon.   At the moment, the Loesser work is in limbo because of my colleague Jason's commitments, so I very much need a job to provide some income for the next two months.

Please send some employment vibes.  I've got to keep Annabelle in baby shoes.

I got lazy and skipped my walk this morning. There is a meal after church today, and I figure I'll get my 10,000 steps during the setup cleanup portion.

I need to get myself off the couch and over there to start. I am so lazy today.

My sister and I ate in IKEA's deli as soon as we got there, but after that, we walked and moseyed and stood for a full three and a half hours!  Now, that is exercizing!

And now, I need to get out of these smoke-smelling clothes and get to bed because my sister wants to go to IKEA later in the morning, then we'll go to our parents' house for our weekly family dinner.

I didn't think about that.  My mom took us to her favorite machines, and they were in the smoking section.

She blends 5 seasons Italian dressing mix with cream cheese and spreads that on cocktail rye  then tops it with thinly sliced cucumber and a sprinkle of smoky paprika

That sounds good.

And now, I need to get out of these smoke-smelling clothes and get to bed because my sister wants to go to IKEA later in the morning, then we'll go to our parents' house for our weekly family dinner.

My brother and SILs eldest Westie ( they have 3... Well actually they have 6 at the moment because the youngest just had 3 puppies) has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and they are devastated
