BK, I too think it is a very good review.  This is what I was talking about being the difference between a professional review and amateur-hack spewing on Amazon.com.  Whether one agrees with everything in the review or not, one has to admit that it is very well thought-out, as you say, and the reviewer goes into detail.

BK, I hope you do locate Susan Stewart! She is so funny in your movie (which I will finish watching on Thursday night). Do keep us in the know! Maybe she would make a good interview for the Unseemly Interview!

By the way, I doubt this is the first time you have "scanned" Leslie Parrish!  8)

Jonathan is the devil! And I don't think he would ever see that he is in the wrong...with anything, ever!

Jon and Kris are the two that I could swear were not in TAR until recently. LOL! Talk about keeping a low profile!

I liked Gus and Hera and will miss them.

DR Stuart, here are the teams that are left on TAR:

1.Kris/Jon (the couple who finished 2nd) and who get along so well (she is blonde). I LOVE THEM and also want them to win.

2. Hayden/Aaron (she has the dark bob - they sort of argue here and there - he was the guy who had trouble finishing the soup). I sort of like them, but she's been getting on my nerves.

3. Freddie/Kendra (the guy who freaked that the gate hit him, and the girl who is spoiled and whocomplained about the breeding in africa).

4.Adam/Rebecca (he has the devil hairdo, and she is the one who slurped the soup).

5. The wrestlers- Bollo (sp?) and i forget her name.  But i think you know who they are.

6. Jonathan/Victoria (the guy who screams at his wife aka, Mr. Yellow).

I also think/hope 4 and 5 go soon.  And I agree, Rebecca is sort of nice.  But adam is a baby.

Do these participants see the edited episodes before they are broadcast?

One message board thought it would be great if Jonathan and Victoria got to the last run for the money, and Victoria sat down and told Jon to ^%$# off!  And the other team wins.

I like Adam and Rebecca....LOL....so far....they just plod along and stay in the middle of the pack mostly by luck -

By the way, our Elsinore Theater is showing the classic comedy IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT tonight at 7pm. I am hoping to go to it. It also happens that Clark Gable (star of IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT) performed live on the stage at the Elsinore often prior to his becoming a film actor! I had no idea!

How could I forget the wrestlers, LOL?

We actually kind of like them, too--had a good laugh a couple of weeks ago when the guy (is he Bollo?  It sounds like a Ukrainian comedy team: Bollo & whatever the other one's name is) indignantly said to Hayden (or is it Erin, or Aaron, the actress with the bob), "I am NOT on steroids."   ;D

A big greeting to you all from Down Under ....

.. as for BK's intro page ... "sleek, with abs and buns of steel" .... for a moment there I thought I had to check my photo again!  (lol)

It's 6.15am here and I'm already at work - (how sad) ...

... have a great day everyone, and I'll try to sneak in here when I can.

Cheers!

No, I'm pretty sure the contestants only see the shows when they air.

Btw, I don't think that it would be wise for Victoria to do what you said, because she would be giving up 1/2 million dollars.  That wouldn't be smart.

See the reason you state for liking adam and rebecca is the same reason I dislike them.  I like to see a team win that is deserving.  And even though I really dislike Jonathan and Victoria.  They do well.  And from the editing I'd say they are top 3.

JRand54,

Bette Davis:  The Letter; Juarez; Mr. Skeffington  (The older I get the more mannered and forced Bette becomes to me)

Joan Crawford: Just one  GRAND HOTEL...she's wonderful! But I must confess I'm not a big Crawford fan...just have never been able to warm up to her...I confess I've never seen Mildred Pierce all the way through in one sitting.

Gene Tierney:  LAURA, HEAVEN CAN WAIT, SON OF FURY, DRAGONWYCK, WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS; guilt pleasure: THE EGYPTIAN (Certainly one of the most beautiful women in film)

Is that that beautiful restored theater in downtown?  I did a live show at some great old place in downtown Salem, but maybe I'm thinking of something else.   ???

Test three - if this scan worked, then I've learned to scan properly and to convert said scan into a postable image.  I think Pogue will especially appreciate this one.

Actually, maybe the beautifully restored theater was in Corvallis, and the kind of funky, old run-down one was in Salem, LOL.

Okay, blame it on DR MBarnum. He asked for it and created a monster. Here is Chooster in various locations in the home environment (I too MANY photos - Chooster kept asking for more - so I'll do this  in several parts throughout the day.)...

I know we're boring those who don't watch TAR.

But one last comment.

I know DR MBarnum loves the wrestlers.  And I suppose they are entertaining.  But they act so totally stupid.

It amazes me that they are still around.

The totally blew things. Yet miraculously a train came and saved their butts.  They were totally lucky to get that #1 card.

The fast forward is supposed to make you WAY AHEAD of the other teams.  Yet i'll bet when we see the times next week, that they are probably not as far ahead as they should be.

I think they need a miracle to win.

That is probably the theater you were at. All of the other old theaters in town are gone now.

Chooster posting on HHW...

I love them all, DR Panni, but I think this one is my favorite.

And every time I see your DC (Dear Canine, in HHW-speak), I am more and more convinced that your Abie Wussburger and my Morgan LeFay Brittany Fairchild are from the same litter.  So similar......

What great photos!  Isn't scanning wonderful, MR BK?

Oh my DR CP - how could I forget about Gene in SON OF FURY and THE EGYPTIAN?

Another forgotten Tierney is BLACK WIDOW with other stars Ginger Rogers and George Raft.  Haven't seen it for many years either,  but remember it fondly.

I know what you mean about warming up to Crawford....have you seen HUMORESQUE with John Garfield and Oscar Levant with a script by none other than Clifford Odets?  Great use of music and some terrific dialog!  Directed by Mr Mike Curtiz himself.
