I took my car to the car wash earlier. It was VERY busy, but my car was FILTHY. I've been getting the evil eye from my vehicle-conscious neighbor, who washes his car when there's no dust even on it. Glad that's done.

I am sooo ready for some time off. I'm reading John Grisham's THE RACKETEER, and Britbox and Acorn have cooperated by offering a number of shows of interest to stream. I shall relax.

Jeanne, do you eat turkey?

I found after my dental surgery that the easiest thing to eat was turkey, gravy, and stuffing all kinda mixed together so it was mushy. Before my second round of surgery, we roasted a turkey just for my post-surgery meals.

And on another sad note...Jon Hendricks, 96, Who Brought a New Dimension to Jazz Singing, Dies.  He worked with The Manhattan Transfer for many years. :(

Pineapple rum glaze for the coconut pound cake is made. Let the party begin.
That sounds good.

I did not know he went to Hamilton.

This fb friend who graduated half a year behind me said he was in her class and was nice.  He should have been a full year behind me.  She also said he was in and out because of work.  On IMDB the first year I see him working was in '69.  That doesn't fit the time frame I see and I wonder if she is correct.

After getting into the opera of The Crucible and watching the film with Daniel Day Lewis, I have moved on to this wonderful PBS dramatization, which owes a great deal to The Devil in Massachusetts, the best book I know on the politics behind the witch trials.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Richard and I are about to head west to Normal, Illinois, for Thanksgiving at my niece's with my sister and her husband.  Will check in from the road, if my new iPad works the way they told me it should.

Travel vibes for Ginny and Richard

Foot vibes for Ginny

Enjoy your Normal Thanksgiving!

I was the right age for teen idols during the Partridge Family years. I watched it, but my heart belonged to Donny.

It was Bobby Sherman for me with Donny as a close second.  I watched the Patridge family but my favorite episode was when Bobby Sherman was on

So, for the second time in 30 minutes Annabelle went into Thatch's cage, licked his head, then put his neck in her mouth as though he were her baby, and moved him.  He did not fight back.

She's teaching him his place...sounds like he's learning

I thought there was something special about Bobby Sherman, however, I don't recall having a crush on any of the teen idols of the 60's/70's.

Thank you, DR Vixmom, on all 3 counts!  We arrived here exactly 6 hours after we left home.  Checked into our hotel, then went around the corner to Laura’s for a delicious chicken and rice dinner.  I baked the frozen apple pie we brought and we visited for a while.  We’re now back at the hotel to crash, looking forward to the holiday tomorrow.

My neighbor Judy brought over another cat bed this afternoon, so this evening Annabelle has been moving from bed to her favorite amazon box to another bed to another amazon box to my bed to her favorite amazon box . . .  She wears me out.

Thatch steps out a bit from the cage to test the waters, then retreats.

Well, I'm done with work.  Earlier, my sister called and asked if I would go to Home Depot with her, so I said sure.  Now, I just got a call from my friend Margo whose car isn't starting and she needs a ride from where she is (she's not home) to Kaiser Permanente to get her meds before the long weekend, then a ride back to figure out what to do about her car. :-\ Hopefully, it'll all work out for her.

Anyway, be back later.

At the moment, Annabelle is back in the bed Judy brought over, trying to sleep while Thatch, who just a minute ago stepped out of the cage again and got as far as the kitchen before he ran back, is going crazy with his catnip mice.

He just stepped out again to check out the new bed, which is sitting next to the cage, and ran smack into Annabelle inside it.  She stayed put, but he ran for the cage.

Annabelle makes me laugh.

I wish MR BK had produced the BB Cast CD.....the arrangements are bad......it sounds like they did it in someone's garage or basement with toy instruments......
