I did, finally, watch Episode 3 of STRANGER THINGS.  I guess I am enjoying it more than BK did.

I jogged by my old 1975 house (first house I purchased) - the mofos who bought it at some point completely made it much bigger but totally wacko.  The original front of the house is now closed off and the entrance is on the other street (it was a corner house), entrance being where the garage was.  They got rid of the garage in total and built to what was the end of it, which means there is literally no backyard in the house.  And it's butt ugly on top of it.

That's too bad. :-\

I drive by two of my former homes two or three times a week....and if I take a short detour, another one can be seen....  Two of the others have been torn down....and one more is too far away to visit regularly.....

My previous houses are my parents' house and house next to my sister's house.  The three local apartments that I lived in are in Lacey, the west side of Olympia, and just down the street from where I live now.  I drive by that one all the time, but the other two apartments are a little too out of the way, even though they're local.  I've never actually thought about going back to those two.  Maybe I will...someday.

I took myself to dinner at Taco Bell.  I brought my Kindle and read a few chapters of the book I'm reading now.  Douglas Adams' "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul," book two of the Dirk Gently series.

He's been here nearly four weeks and Thatch is finally showing some spunk and initiative.  He's finally behaving like an active little kitten. I could not be happier.

That's great, Larry!

As was the case with last year, I'm really not sure what I want to write in 2018.  Thrill Ride came to me very late in the year, mid-December, so hopefully that will be the case.  I do have another Adriana Hofstetter book story that I can do - have had that for some time but I do enjoy going to new territory so we'll see what transpires.

Thank you. I was wondering this myself and was going to wait until Wednesday to ask.

BK - How about writing another play in 2018?

Ooo...that would be cool!

Jane, your book sounds interesting, but I think it's the type I'd rather listen to, so I'll have to put it on my list. Right now, I'm listening to the latest Girl book, The Girl Who Took an Eye for an Eye

I have no plans to read this since Stieg Larsson did not write it.  I will be curious of your opinion.

I skipped the last one, which Larsson also didn't write. I'm enjoying this one, but it's nowhere near as great as the first three.

Thanks.  I will pass on them.  I enjoyed the 2nd & 3rd books too much to risk continuing with a different author.

My mom has continued reading the series. But I sort of feel how you do and have not read any of the extra books since he died.  I really loved the original series.

I only times I have not been disappointed was when a family member, usually a child, has continued with the series.

Oh, and I did a sample listen to the book I read and preferred reading it.

I have tried to get into audiobooks. But I dislike them immensely.  I was doing a reading challenge and one of the items was an audiobook.  I ended up doing a shorter book that I had already read.  I think I could maybe get into an audiobook if it was for a favorite author/favorite book/excellent narrator. But for a story that I don't know ... my mind just wanders. I tried one because that narrator was actor Steven Webber.  But I could not get into at all. And I could barely understand what was happening (there were a bunch of 3rd person narrators).

I have a tendency to fall asleep while read I g or to simply let my brain wonder.  Finding my place again on an audio book might be difficult.   I never got that far on the one I listened to today.  I simply didn't enjoy her vouce.

I am reading "Collared " by David Rosenfelt.  This is the 16th book in the Andy Carpenter series.
