Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is a bit melodramatic, but it works. too bad the fight against the Nazis hasn't passed.

Well, I was just about to get ready to leave work when my friend Margo called, asking if I could come over to help with her TV.  Something won't play and she and her sister (who's visiting from Minnesota) can't figure out what to do.  I don't know what I can do, but I can take a look at it.  So, I will.

Be back later.

I've been watching a new-to-me series, THE INDIAN DOCTOR. It's about an Indian doctor who moves to Wales to serve a small, mining community. His wife is very la-dee-da and hates it. I like the series.

I forgot to mention favorite books this year. THRILL RIDE was great fun; very clever. Another favorite was Christopher Fowler's LONDON GLORY, a book of short stories in the Bryant & May vein, i.e., his two elderly detectives. Most of the other books I read were rather underwhelming.

Annabelle is sick again.  I don't think the Clamavox cleared up the respiratory infection and it has flared back up.  She;s still eating, thank God, but her voice is hoarse and her breathing ragged.

I had two reasons why I never adopted a pet in the past: being away from NYC on work and not having the money to pay for their care.  I should have stuck to that: I'm in cash flow hell, I have no money until Dec. 20, and I cannot afford to see the vet at the moment.  I am worried.

Talk to the vet about this and about making payments instead of stopping the treatment.

I've heard from Dr Mohr, and we will try an anti-viral prescription for Annabelle tomorrow.

Vibes it works!

I did not have to be present for yesterday's inspection, but I have given up on getting anyone to pay attention to my cat or remembering to close the front door.  So I stayed home.

I would not trust these people to enter with my cat there

And what time did they show up for the inspection?  They didn't.

Well, that was easy.  It turns out that the HDMI cable going out from her DVD player wasn't plugged into anything, and there was another HDMI cable plugged into her TV that wasn't coming from any device!  There was an extra cable that confused everyone!  Now, the one necessary cable is plugged out from and into where it needs to be and it all works!

And I was going to mail out the DVDs to TCB and Vixmom, but I accidentally burned one wrong disc, so I need to re-burn it right now.  It takes a little time to do that, but it's very easy.  I'll definitely mail them all tomorrow. :D

I was looking for something when I got home and found several decks of cards and just decided to play a real game of solitaire.
