So, vixmom, ma'am.... for the purposes of argument.... let's just suppose I might be one of those weird people whose friends know to avoid condemning him to public humiliations, i.e., restaurant birthday festivities, at such times when I happen to be the victim guest of honor.  Is there some good reason I should make an exception to a lifelong practice and submit, just this once, to the Procedure at Texas Roadhouse? 

I feel like they do something special/different. I vaguely remember when the Vixter worked there that Vixmom described it.

Well, I must say the Levi orders I woke up to are disappointing - I thought this would be the biggest release of the year for us - everyone was begging us to do it.  Maybe the orders will just be steady but right now they're not what they should be.  I boosted the Facebook post and got it posted everywhere, but we all know the Facebook algorithms and how screwed up they are.  So, share the post if you can.

Perhaps people have done all their Christmas shopping and are momentarily "broke".

Certainly sales will pick up soon.

There has been an explosion in one of the subways around Port Authority.  The news is still vague, but it appears to have been a pipe bomb and the one person injured may have been the person carrying the bomb.  I'd like to hope so.

Today at work, we're having our annual holiday potluck and gift exchange.  It'll pretty much be a day of eating and not a lot of work gets done, at least before the lunch.

Well, the morning break and gift exchange came and went, and went well.  I gave a set of four R2D2 cupcake pans, cake mix and frosting.  I got a really nice cloth green bag with shiny green polka dots, and in the bag were four different flavors of Ghirardelli chocolates.

I just got a nice residual check from the 1990 movie that was my first screenplay sale. 

Actually, because of the way it turned out, it's a film I would prefer to forget, but I shouldn't complain.  Over the years, I've made more money in residuals than the movie grossed in theaters.

We had our interdepartmental lip sync battle today. I’m glad I was in the audience. I didn’t know most of the songs and I certainly wouldn’t want to be seen in most of the costumes. You just can’t unsee some things.

If you really hate the birthday announcements skip it....but it is fast and it involves a saddle
