Back from a really fun birthday dinner at the very old-fashioned nearby Valley Inn. Aside from our nice but obviously new server who didn't really know too much, it was a fine meal. I had a Caesar salad - my least favorite thing of the evening, then the excellent prime rib (about an eight-ounce slice), a baked potato, and we shared a small side of mac-and-cheese that was very good. We also had their version of garlic cheese bread but it bears no resemblance to the Smoke House version, and yet is equally good. No room for dessert.
