Hey John, I have some beef bones from the prime rib I made Sunday...can I use this to make a stock?  Somehow it feels wrong just to throw them out

The idiot behind us (aka firework King) is clearing his driveway which runs along our backyard (which is ridiculously narrow)

He just bombarded our kitchen windows with the spray...if he had broken a Window we would really have had a problem

Why not give it a try. They’ve already cooked, so they won’t give the same flavor as raw.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't be there.  Yes, even for meatloaf.  It's unthinkable to even step outside here.  The snow, plus blizzard conditions, PLUS (a big plus) the extreme temperatures?  Forget it.

Worse, the wind and extreme temperatures will be with us for another few days, which is going to make getting out there and cleaning up absolutely miserable.

My brother Randy called this morning.  He suspects the Macbeths were in a car wreck last night.

Pity.

Maybe this could be the impetus for them to realize that they need to sell the land.  Just a thought. ::)

Thatch, Annabelle, and I really enjoyed All's Well That Ends Well, although none of us knows why the wonderful Helena would want to be stuck with that little shit Bertram for more than one day.   I think we'll tackle Troilus and Cressida next.  That should give The Flash and Wonder Woman some interest in the Trojan War.

Or give them ideas!

;)

Judy Garland
Drew Barrymore
Tatum O'Neal
Ron Howard

Ditto to all of these, as well as:
Jodie Foster
Hayley Mills
Haley Joel Osment
Shirley Temple

And a few unremembered others, I'm sure.

And I am home.  It is truly unpleasant outside.

I caught a 9:30 104 bus to City Center, worked with Joshie until 2:00, and then took a taxi home.  I'm staying inside tomorrow, proofreading a couple of songs from "Sail Away."  The kitties were happy to see me, and they want food.  They have another 90 minute wait for that.  Breakfast is served, 7:30-8:30, and dinner, 4:30-5:30; they have their dry food all day.

It looks like the San Antonio Symphony died last night. Contract negotiations broke down and the rest of the season has been canceled. They play Saturday for the city’s 300th anniversary. And that’s it.

By time you're done plowing our driveway, what sort of wine would you like, dry or sweet?

Did I mention the oven roasted potatoes cooking in the same casserole?

Thursday afternoon greetings!  Spent the morning finishing Sarah Dunant’s Sacred Hearts for a noon discussion at the library where my career began.  Had to make a little scene when the security thug tried to make me feed the meter for a “visitor” parking space.  John, the current library director, intervened when I threatened to just leave.  Might be time to correspond with the Miami Regionals dean...

My news report just said the 9-18 inches of snow and blizzard conditions are in order for NY, CONN, etc....including DR ELMORE and his Katz, DR VIXMOM, DR CHAS SMITH, and DR FJL.

Stay inside.  I hope you don't have to go to work tomorrow ANYBODY......and I hope VIXDAD is home!

Nobody here's going to work tomorrow, and I expect the day's cleanup to take most of the morning and afternoon.  Including warm-up and food breaks, to be sure.  And there will probably be some aggravating re-cleaning up to do later, and the next day, due to the continually drifting snow.

But we'll be taking it slowly and methodically.  No one needs to be harmed cleaning up a little snow.

I saw that news a little while ago.  Very sorry to hear it.  As I would be with any orchestra or other musical organization.
