The litter box is washed out and pristine, the floors are vacuumed.  I found three of Thatch's missing ping pong balls so he's playing with those.  Annabelle escaped the apartment while I was entering with the litter boxes.  When I realized she was missing, it terrified me.  It took me two searches of the building to find her.  She was on the fifth floor rubbing her head against all the walls and marking her territory.

This has to be the worst winter ever and it's only January 13th.  It was frigid last week, but still somehow snowing all the time. Then it got warm for two days. Now it is snowing like crazy. And it's supposed to get super cold again.  I can't recall ever seeing so much snow and so many days of freezing cold temps. :(

A late start this morning, which I sorely needed.

DR Elmore, something that worries me whenever you say Annabelle got out is that first experience you had when it seemed like she was in danger of getting into the elevator works.

I will leave for City Center around 11:15.  Before I go, I have much to accomplish since this may be my last day for six weeks to use an elevator to reach the basement.  I need to take a lot of trash to the basement and to scrub down the litter box.

Have you lined the litter box with plastic?  The best type is a bag you put the entire box in, then the box does not need washing as often.  You might considering using the bags while the elevator is out.

Wow that was close.

As of tonight we’re back in the basement (speaking of basements) temperature-wise, going back down into the single digits tonight and tomorrow night.

Bruce the first time you played "I'm In Like With You" at my house I thought you had just written it for a girl you had a first date with.  Obviously I had that wrong and I believe there was only 1 more date with the girl ;D

More single digit and lower temps for us over the next five or six days.  I started my car today and let it run for a few minutes.

I will do so again tomorrow.

TOD:

Like DR ELMORE and DR DRUXY I have not seen ANY films at the theatre this year.  The thought of that even five years ago would seem impossible.

I do know what I read here about folks who see movies....and screeners.....but I do not have any idea who I would like to see win.  I am also OVER the politicization of AWARDS shows - yes they certainly are welcome to their opinions, but I don't need to be lectured about my own....

Get a blog!

So I am not sure I will even watch this year....we shall see.  I didn't watch the GG and I'm still here.

Saturday morning greetings!

More single digit and lower temps for us over the next five or six days...

Here, too.  We probably could have had our AAUW meeting this morning, but attendance would have been very low.

Dear reader Jane, it was the first song I ever wrote.  It was my go-to song for a while with people I liked because I didn't have many others at first.  I believe it was replaced by Lucky Me and I See Rainbows at some point :)

Weird first night at home. Couldn’t get comfortable. Couldn’t sleep in my bed. Tried out two other situations before settling on the couch, where I slept for 10 or more hours.
