Anyone know the British composer John Rutter.  I heard a piece of his for harp and orchestra on the radio and really liked it.  I gather he's mostly a choral guy but I'm listening now to his orchestral work and it's just lovely.

He’s an atheist who does a lot of church work. I’ve heard various choirs sing them. Some are good, some sound very dated and ‘70s.

Watching the original Cat People. Every time I watch it, it gets creepier.

Joke Time on Saturday night:

The wife of a man who lived in Maine disappeared.  A week later the police showed up at his door.

They said: Well, sir, we have bad news, good news, and better news for you.  How do you wish to receive it?

Man:  I'll take the bad news first.

Police:  I'm afraid your wife is dead, we pulled her body from the bay this morning.

Man:  Oh, dear.  Well, what's the better news?

Police:  Well, when we brought her up, we found a dozen of the biggest and best Maine lobsters clinging to her, so we thought we'd share them with you.

Man: Oh.....what's the best news?

Police:  Well....we're bringing her up again tomorrow.

LOL!

The very first episode of The Barbara Stanwyck Show was directed by Jacques Tourneur and stars Kent Smith, director and star of Cat People.

I'll probably then get something to eat, then go to the theater.

Be back...eventually. :)

Well...I went to the west side of Olympia with the intention of picking up my stuff at the GameStop store, but there was a HUGE power outage all over the west side! :o The whole strip of stores where GameStop is and several stand-alone buildings were all without power.

So then I thought that I would just go to the west side Wendy's for dinner (it's about a half mile away), but that whole area was without power, too!  I went to Arby's because that was in an area that still had power. :-\

I ate my Arby's sliders on my way to the theater.  Fortunately, we have power here.

A friend of mine and her husband are in the audience tonight I was able to speak with her at intermission.  It turns out that their house lost power at 1:00 pm, and by the time they left to come to the theater, it was still out!  Who knows how it happened, or how much longer it'll last.

Otherwise, the show is going quite well.  Another practically full house and so far, no mistakes!

We did have to start about seven minutes late, though.  A group arrived right at the last minute.  They all got in, so that's good.

What's weird is that about 10 minutes into the first act, one couple just got up and left.  I don't know if they had a problem with one of the characters being a dominatrix or if some other emergency called them away, but they won't get a refund. ;)

I just looked.  I DO have the Kritzerland FOLLIES.

It was out of alphabetical order.

Damn! I guess I'll put the new one up on Ebay.

I don't know how, but I have THREE copies of the soundtrack to The Bird Cage.

I have zero copies of thus, wanna  sell one?

No...but I'll be more than happy to send you one just as soon as I fine them.  I did keep them all together, but when my place got cleaned up when I got my cat, I lost track of some things.  I KNOW I still have them, though. :)

I did watch a motion picture this evening.  I did receive the call from Muse Margaret, who agreed with my little things to change.

I'm home and fortunately, I do have power.  There must've been some kind of accident because the weather was rainy but otherwise mild...no wind that I could tell.
