Oh, joy!

Oh, bliss!

Even though I feel like crap and am at work anyway, today is MEAT LOAF THURSDAY at the Oakland Art Museum cafe.  They really do meat loaf well, and serve it with rosemary-roasted potatoes and a delicious field greens salad.

LOST SPOILERS

DR Jennifer:  I know the feeling regarding Boone and Shannon, but at least we had the revelation that they had different parents BEFORE we saw them in bed together.

Until then, I thought Boone was gay.

I didn't remember the sister's comment.  So I had no opinion on Boone's sexual orientation.

It's weird, but I wasn't sure how I felt watching them in bed together.  We don't even know how long their parents were married, or how long they lived together as brother and sister.

I also wasn't sure if we were supposed to be confused or disgusted.

It was definitely interesting though.

Rowan Atkinson (mostly Black Adder)...Some comic radio shows:   Sorry, I Haven't A Clue

Love both of these shows.  I bought DH the Complete BA on DVD a couple of years ago and it had two "one offs' I don't think were ever aired here, Black Adder's Christmas & one about the Round Heads & Calvinists

We have a bunch of "Sorry, I Haven't A Clue" on cassette.  DH is British and whenever one his friends comes over for a visit (usually we get a Brit houseguest or two every Thanksgiving) we demand a cassette of this radio show as payment for room & board   :)

Oh, god, yes, Stan Freberg.  His history of America album to me is still the seminal comedy of all time.  "What was that?"  "French Horns."  No, no, before that."  "Hey, Harv, who you taking to the witch-burning tonight?"  "You kids get a pretty good sound out of those mocassins."  "Yeah, considering they were tap-dancing on dirt too!"

How about "Allen Sherman, My Son the Folksinger"?

Comics:

Ellen DeGeneres, Graham Norton (as long as he's not trying too hard), Bill Irwin, Lily Tomlin... and a bunch of others I know I've found myself laughing out loud at 3:00 in the morning on Comedy Central.  Oh, Dave Chapelle too.

-I never really thought Seinfeld's stand-up was that funny.  Well, not laugh out loud funny.  However, "Seinfeld" is still always good for a guaranteed laugh, but I think that has to do more with Larry David's writing than anything else.

-Is something supposed to happen now?  Am I supposed to suddenly become "enlighted"?  Will Ed McMahon be knocking on my door momentarily?  Huh?
